black stack?

Ive seen some people on here with black stacks? Can you purchase them that way? If so where? I found some paint for exhaust, but would rather find them already black.

Lowe's has high temp black spray paint. I coated my entire system with the stuff (except stacks). I coated everything twice and it dries in about 30 minutes. Looks great and protects again rust.

rbrett,

I sent Jet-hot a quote request the other day just for this purpose. Haven't heard anything back yet, but will post info when I do.

I got the quote today. I was hoping for better, but can't say I'm too surprised!

Here's my request:

Hello, would like a quote for coating a 48" long 5" diameter,
straight exhaust pipe. The pipe is bare steel, and will be used as a
single stack pipe on my Cummins powered 3/4 ton truck. I would prefer the
flatter of the two black coatings (matte, or 2000) Temps should be below
800F.

Thank you for your time.

And here is the quote/reply I got.

If you go with our 1300F black we would charge you $145 to coat your
pipe. The 2000 would be done for $200, and while it is a flatter color,
it also has a textured finish. We're running about 2 weeks in house to
do the job, and in case you don't have it our address is:

Jet-Hot Coatings
5602 Orchard Road
Pascagoula MS 39581

Thanks
