Black PVC sewer pipe strength???

I have already made a few spud scuds.......... but I am wanting to kick it up a notch and make a pumpkin chunkin cannon. I won't be using flamables on the pumpkin cannon, but I want to put about 125 psi of air pressure on it. Am I looking at death here????? I am talking about 1 foot in diameter pvc.

Could Be !
ThinK I Would Use 12 In Inside With 16 Outside And Poor Cement In The Space In Between, Be A Lot More Sure Of Punkin Comming Out End , Aposed To Comming Out The Side
AND DON`T FORGET YOU SOME HOW HAVE TO REINFORCE THE BREECH.
I WAS WATCHING ONE ON TV AND PUNKIN STUCK SPLIT STEEL BARREL ,
THEY WERE LUCKY NO INJURYS AS I REMBER

Black sewer pipe is not PVC but ABS. It uses different glue and is not rated for much pressure. If you are not sure, use schedule 40 or schedule 80 PVC. Then no worries.

Y'know, I'm thinkin' if you were to fire that off from the top of the hill by the brake check, you could do some serious damage somewhere around the Kal Tire!

greatwhite,

Sounds like you know the area. I am hoping to clear the end of the barrel!
