Birthday Present

I am now the proud parent of a teenager. No, I'm not ready and I know it!

He received a few gifts today, and some more are on the way.

The one he liked the most was getting to drive my truck up to the top of our 1/2 mile private road, and back home. Even managed to be seen by a couple of friends. Not his first time driving a standard transmission, but this was a bit different from my trail Jeep. (A dent would be noticed on the truck )
As expected, he did well, but did take quick note of the fact that a diesel engine is very sensitive to throttle input, and the transmission shifts much differently than an old, loose, Toploader. ;D

Before we know it, he'll be hitting the public roads.
He has already made it clear, though, NO RICERS for him!

He's a good boy! ;D ;D

Re:Birthday Present

I watched the boy drive off with Eric on his maiden diesel voyage, he had a big ;D on his face. All Eric's wife Debbie said was " He hasn't let me drive the truck yet." Good job Dane, Happy Birthday.
