BF Goodrich vs Cooper tires?
Re:BF Goodrich vs Cooper tires?
I always ran Cooper Discoverers on my other trucks. I put the BFG T/A KO's on my Dodge and they are awesome. I have about 15k miles on them (285- 75-16) and they still look good. I personally think they are awesome in the mus as well as the snow, and are pretty quiet on the highway. When the BFG's wear out, I'll definately replace them with the same.
Re:BF Goodrich vs Cooper tires?
Here is the best deal for all, KUMHO tires. Best deal for the money. I have 285/75 on my 95 and they dont make the noise you hear with all the others believe me I know, being I sell them at my tire shop. After all we buy a diesel to hear the motor and exhaust not the tires. And the great thing is I can hook my 35ft fiver up and not worry of too much load.
And you are looking at spending 400 less compared to the others.
And you will actually get more miles out of them.

Tricky,
I assume your talking about Kumho Powerguards?? If you dont mind a couple of questions, What kind of tread do they have??, what sizes do they come in??, and what kind of highway milage can we expect from them?? Thanks.
Has anyone ran Hankooks ??

I think the cooper st will be my next tire. Made in the us and they are cheaper. My BFG 315's are nice but you pay for the dam name.

Try paying for the Parnelli Jones Dirt Grip name.
(hint, think $300+ per tire for the sizes I would want)
At least they are "E" rated.

Phox,
How do the BFG's stand up???
[/quote]
I've only had mine for 10K, other than some curb rash and boulder scrapes, they look brand new.
I don't like how much the sidewall bulges under the weight of the engine, being only "D" rated.
Thats why I want to find something in an "E".
So far the PJ's are the only "truck sized" tires that come in an "E" that I've come across.
