I think this is Jerry Jeff Walker, not sure, but it sure is a good song.
You ask me what I like about Texas
I tell you it's the wide open spaces!
It's everything between the Sabine and the Rio Grande.
It's the Llano Estacado,
It's the Brazos and the Colorado;
Spirit of the people down here who share this land!
It's another burrito, it's a cold Lone Star in my hand
It's a quarter for the jukebox boys
Play the Sons of the Mother Lovin' Bunkhouse Band
......
You ask me what I like about Texas
Spoken:
I could tell you...but it would take all night long..

or
jerry jeff walker "keep Texas beautiful"
or gary P. nunn "london Homesick Blues"
or
Lyle Lovett "You're not from Texas"
Jimmy Dale Gilmore , Billy Joe Shaver, Tommy Alverson, Hayes Carll ,Charlie Robison, Todd Snyder are a few. If you are ever in Corsicana Tx. look up a young kid named Ryan Payne. He is awesome. He also plays right up the road from the place in Conroe yall were talking about, Borski's Tavern. And lets not leave out ZZ TOP!!

Looks like this one needs to get going again, we were doing so good. Turns out after talking to my rodeo coach's wife, she used to work with Bart Crow (Wear My Ring) at the college. (I can't remember if she said he worked in the same office or he was in that office pretty regular)
