Best Diesel Conversion

What would be a good diesel conversion?

I am thinking of putting a 1st Gen Cummins in something like these. Any thoughts?

I'd love to do one in an Excursion and lift the crap out of it.......I've always liked those for some reason!

But if you're looking to stay with a truck, I'd do a newer Superduty crewcab shortbed. I've had two of them and the room inside will spoil you......I LOVED it!

72 Chevy Blazer or a older bronco, I to have been think of buiding a new toy too. I have a 90 dodge CTD truck that is good shape runs great only 100k on it, that I picked up for reall cheap. So I have most of the parts just need sumthing to put them into. Been looking for a 70 to 72 gmc jimmy in good shape, I have allways liked them and the older bronco's.

I've always thought a Ford Crew with a Cummins would be THE truck....

Well, at least until I got my '03 2500!!!

Gotta go with the biggest pickup Dodge made. Definately a nice 4 door, 4wd, 8ft bed, 5 or 6spd standard conversion riding high enough to command respect and low enough to tow.

i voted dodge crew cab, but i would also go for a ramcharger, suburban, blazer, even possibly an excursion with a CTD.

there is another one i would like to have that is not on the list, an M37 or similar power wagon with a CTD.

Admins, could you give us more poll options other than 10?

10 options are all I could give. So I picked the top 10 in my book. Sorry I couldn't do the Burb's and Ex's.

That's as far as she'll go. I personally like the Blazers myself. Suburbans too. I kind of have a soft spot for Blazers. I drove an '82 through high school.
