Max ,teh coolest things arent gonna be what you teach her, its what she will teach you....

When she gets a little older and wakes up each day saying "wow" just because she is amazed by the world......
In my life i have seen and done some awesome things... I 've stood on the deck during a huricane and felt the power of the ocean rolling over me, I've been in life or death fights one on one and walked away, I've sat on the bottom of the ocean and hand fed the sharks and Ive watched the sun set from teh tops of the mountains and the eagles gliding below....but NOTHING has compared to feeling my son in my arms for the first time, or hearing him say" Dad.......you're my hero"...nothing compares at all...
That poem is sooo dead on!

My oldest is 26, the youngest is a freshman in college....
I think I have a year or two before I get the 'grandpa" tag, but am starting to look forward to it.

 

No kidding, Chris .... spot on !!! I love going on walks together with my daughter, because we both get so much out of stopping along the way to check out all of the fallen leaves, worms, rocks, road-apples ... you name it !!!

IT's 5 am and my wife has been up for near 2 hrs with my 16 month old son who has a cold and is teething a couple of molars. My wonderfull wife does not complain she just does what is needed without hesitation or sleep.
I will go switch off with mom so she can at least have a coffee before she leaves for daycare and then work.

All this so I can get some sleep before I have to leave for work by 6am.

Neither one of us would change anything.......

 

I wasn't a man until I became a dad. My kids have made me a better person than I ever thought I could be.

 

You must feel SO blessed! Thanks for giving the rest of us noob dads a goal to shoot for. My son will be 4 next month; he's awesome! All glory to God!
