Barry Bonds home runs legite or not?

It's not the "People" that has officially accepted it, it's the league, owners, Union, advertisers and anyone else who PROFIT from MLB and actauly have the power to change the game and drug testing. (and obviously don't care enough)
All I was saying was that he isn't the first guy with help and won't be the last.
Mcguire wasn't juicing? No-one has genes that good!
I really believe that this is the true stance of the League, they know it's a massive can of worms, they are in fact trying to get over this hump of Conseco and Bonds. Then , life will go on. The guys who can fit in a cycle and post cycle therapy in between test............ will.
IMO, sports figures should be judged against their contemporaries.
That means, imo-- Bonds stands alone. I don't care that he may have doped (who ISN'T in the pros?). I don't care how many at bats it takes.
Hank Aaron may have taken more at bats to set the record, but there's something to be said for longevity, and that is a record in its own right.
Ripken deserves at the credit he got.
Rose didn't deserve the flak he got-- he should be in the HOF. Marge Schott is the *real* evil of Cincy-- not Charlie Hustle.
I don't give a flip if these guys are willing to dope to the point where their nuts are the sizes of raisins. They are playing at the highest level of competition within their sports. They are paid accordingly. If they are willing to gamble with the chemicals to advance their trade, then let them.
Heck, no one complains when a carpenter uses the latest chemicals to advance *his* trade-- be it better glues or synthetic building materials.
But he better not be passing himself off as an "old world" carpenter.
Same with baseball. The league needs to define what they want "professional" to mean. Does it mean the highest level of performance, no matter what? Or are there rules involved?

Very progressive viewpoint Hohn. We all have to (Geico included) look at this for what it is......... a sign of the times? (yes)
Let him be judged by a group of his peers, he'll be exonerated in 3 minutes.
FACT: ALL sports since the late 1970's have had some level of influence by performance enhancing substances. I mean all the way down to High School Football and all. It's a media spectacle, simple as that. Bird Flu isn't scaring us like they thought it would, so.. ooh, ooh there is steroids in Pro Sports!!

Forget MLB. Give the sport back to the ones who deserve it; the kids. This is baseball at its purest. A bunch of free spirits playing a game and having fun.
It's the adults that ruin in every age group. If you haven't seen this, just go spend a couple of hours at your local little league fields.
In MLB the players are the adults(term used very loosely).
