I'm in the minority

55 here, but, still a kid when it comes to gettin' my truck out on the road for campin'. Man I love being up in the mountains.

First diesel was the 6.2 GMC when I was 40. Now have two work truck CTD's. One for site clean-up and the other for clean runs, bids and daily clean hauler.

Hired a 30 yr. old the other day, we were framing up an addition. He finally admitted to me that I just about killed him trying to keep up with me all day.

Guess when your used to hard work all your life, your like a Cummins engine.

Fuel filters

Takin' about age and how old, don't you young guys forget those fuel filters, and ruin that expensive injector pump. I did once. Never again!

21, got it at 19 when i traded in MY 03 ford lightning that I paid for, and now i have way too much invested in my 02 cummins...bought by me, insured by me, fueled by me, modded by me about 98% (parents bought my Thuren track bar as a gift, and loaned me the money to get the clutch when i needed it...paid them back)

i work for my money, and still pay all my other bills. i love my truck, and from now until i die i will always have a cummins in the stable. i hate when people say that my parents bought me my truck, and i i hate when i see kids whose parents jsut hand them everything and they dont respect it.

Nobody here sayin' their parents bought them their truck... Besides, even if their parents did buy them their truck, I doubt they would admit it, especially around here. I worked 3.5 years in fast food during my high school and early college years. Had fun while I was at it and went out on the weekends. But managed to save up enough that I could finally afford my current truck. Ahh.. Feels good... Cause it's mine! And I love America! Not just because I can own a Cummins .

I'm in with the "old as dirt" group, 65.5 and my 98.5 is the only diesel I've owned. I have driven trucks with the IH v8 and GM v8 diesel and didn't even contemplate buying one of those after the CTDs came on market.

I'm 39 and at first I was little surprised at the relatively young skewing but I suspect it has more to do with the segment of Cummins owners who are active computer users than anything else. I suspect there is a large sugment of 40+ year old Cummins owners who never use DTR or TDR or any such forum often. And of those who do come here, the number that simply lurk and read are probably quite high and they probably rarely look for polls to respond to.
