Atta girl!

Just saw former Miss Florida shot and killed an ex-convict who broke into her home at 3 a.m.

Weapon of choice: a pink .38 spl.

I love a woman who isn't afraid to defend herself

That... is... AWESOME!!!

My wife shoots our .40 Glock (mod 23) very well, but she says she wants a pink gun, too...

Shot him four times. I like it! Sounds like her fiance did good by distracting the bad guy.

Panthaber, a 42-year-old arborist, said he believes he and his fiancee were targeted because of their wealth. He claimed a pizza delivery man and possible accomplice staked out the home for three months before Hill attempted to burglarize it.

“We live in a very prominent area and my fiancee wears a $60,000 engagement ring,” he said. “The pizza man knew we had money because sometimes we needed change for a $100 bill when he came to deliver pizza.”
Quite the pair themselves. The wealthy "arborist" and local pagent queen couple attacked at their posh Florida home with over the top furnishings in the middle of the night by a guy she let in because she thought it was a friend needing a place to sleep..... Wonder what sort of botanistic species said "arborist" prunes to develop such wealth, and svelte late night visitors?

I might get flamed for this, but oh well.

I honestly don't feel bad for them at all. With the way the economy is today you should never, EVER, let people know you have money .... and really you should make this a lifestyle choice to prevent it from ever happening.

Paying for food deliveries with hundred dollar bills is a big "no no". Delivery drivers talk, especially about big tippers and folks that pay with large denominations. I know because I used to delivery pizzas when I was in high school, and this was always the first thing the drivers would talk about. What makes this worse is they knew that they were being staked out, and yet that didn't set off any red flags. No calls to the police/sheriff, and if they lived in such a nice neighborhood they should have had security patrols and notified them.

I'm sorry, but if you flaunt your wealth like this you're making yourself a target and asking for trouble. In this situation they got lucky, and hopefully they learned something from it.

I don't think they will though since they felt the need to put a dollar amount on the engagement ring and plastered their faces on the article.

well as far as i am concerned the jean pool is a little cleaner the only good criminal is a dead one and tax payers are freed from the countless appeals .the only looser is the scumbag lawyer who didn't get to milk the system to get said dirt bag off.
take a look at Japan no looting no stealing there helping each other out .there are to many people in America who need to learn civility

why not just paint a bullseye on your forehead?
Living in prominent area, flashy daily jewelry, paying with big bills, probably a mercedes and an escalade in the driveway.
Ya know, there is something to be said to living modestly, not just financially, but for personal safety.

heh I read that news too. Glad she took care of it. BUT...there's aways BUTS from armchair quarterbacks, they made some vital mistakes.

First, she opened the door at 3am. Second, why was she the one opening the door for a 3am ring when her fiance, the man, should have been the one to answer such a ring if the door should have been answered at all.

Glad the fiance finally woke up.

They are very lucky to be alive, especially after making such stupid mistakes and missing red flags that ultimately pinned them in that situation.

If you're gonna be dumb you better be tough.
