2 hours south of me? She must live in Hamburg. And yes, it started this afternoon. At around 4 pm (slowly) but it really started at around 6 pm when I visited my mother and my brother with his wife and my nephew. Those babies grow quick !!!

the ride home was interesting

Scroll out a little bit. It´s just a couple of miles from the danish border. If you want great Hot Dogs, go to Denmark ^^

Been to southern Germany but never up north. It says you have Fjords in that area. Any salmon runs or salmon fishing in those rivers?

Southern Germany is boring. Next time you visit us please make sure to visit the northern part. There is so much to explore. Denmark is just a couple of miles away and it is so peaceful. And from Denmark you can go to Sweden or Norway or Finland. You won´t regret it! There is a huge difference between germany and denmark, denmrk is much more calm. Difficult to explain.

Well probably wont make you feel better but it took me 5 hours to go 160 miles today. Got a flash of rain, temp plummeted and then snowed about 6 inches on top of it. Had about a 30 MPH cross wind most of the drive. It was bad enough I almost chained up the truck. It did finally clear up at the end though.

Kinda cool we have members across the pond!!!

I´m not the only member around here. But I haven´t seen AlpineRam lately.
He must be busy. I´d love to have a Cummins over here but there is problem:
Diesel costs about 1,20 € per liter which is about 7-8 $ per gallon. I want a Cummins but can I justify one right now? Gas is around 20 Cent more for a litre. Which make it around 80 cent per gallon more expensive.

The only way to pay less on your truck over here is to to convert those hemi´s to LPG.

I have done some time in Germany. I was in Schweinfurt from 96 to 99 then Hiedelberg mid 2006 to mid 2007 and then Hohenfels from mid 07 to mid 09. I loved every bit of it. The best part is when you get pulled over by the politzie and they inspect you for a mufler cause your truck is so loud. Gotta love the old 24v's. That and the guys who like trucks checking the truck out at the stations on the autobahn.
