All this talk of strange stuff falling down from the sky reminds me that my Mexican born wife wants to experience a Canadian winter (she's nuts!) so that means that we will be going to the Toronto area some time this December. Wish we could drive up, but the fuel costs are a LOT higher than flying and renting a car for a week or so.
Personally, I never want to see s**w again, but for the the sake of my wife who has never been in s**w or experienced a Canuk winter, will suffer this once again. I am now looking out of my window at the green grass, the bright flowers and thinking how blessed I am. I really don't want to have to dress up with gloves, coat, sweater and all that junk. You guys can keep all that stuff. In the last 5 years I think I have worn a light coat about 4 times. One consolation, my youngest son is in Toronto, so will get to see him, his wife and my granddaughter.

Hey Stan,

Just perchance you haven't thought of this, it might be better to just import an ice chest full of snow along with your son and family for the Christmas vacation and let them smell the roses for a week.

Nah. My crazy wife wants to experience what it is like to actually walk thru knee deep snow and be in a snow storm. She wants the experience of seeing and feeling the snow coming down. I could of course dump that cooler of snow on top of her but don't want to think of the consequences or the retaliation. You married guys will know what I am talking about.

No white stuff here yet...leaves are all falling and the turkey's will be cookin' very soon.

MMMM Turkey dinner.

Bobbybrakesmartless, you saw snow long before I ever have out here on the bald prairie. Next time make sure you come through here in the summer and spend a few days...there are some REALLY nice areas here with some exceptional scenery.

Do you ever have summer? Now when the water pipes are still frozen in the ground in early May, something is wrong, baby.

It was still fun meeting you and Punta Dunta girl.
