Heck Yes there be HD riders here My current and 3rd HD is a 2007
V-Rod. I had a 98 Softail Custom and a 2004 Heritage Softail previously. My wife rides a tricked out 1996 Dyna Super Glide. My favorite bike forum is 1130cc.com but it's mostly a V-Rod forum.

Here's my 06 Road King Custom. Took off the factory beach bars, installed 16" apes, power commander, had it dyno tuned by a buddy that works @ the local hd shop, screamin' eagle air cleaner and homemade lid, home made 4" slip ons' powder coated gloss black. Light bars and turn sigs came off a Road King my buddy had repo'd, same as the painted bags. This fall she's getting a big bore kit and 18" flying apes, and some true dual head pipes.

Very nice.

I hope I can get a real bike one day... I'd like a road king as well. Close to what you have, Kerry.

Thanks Mad. I love that bike. I've had several so called soft tails, and an fxr, swore i'd never get a bagger. Then i rode Dads' RK & changed my mind. This was my First brand new Harley. My wife let me buy 12 days prior to our 1st son being born! I'm pretty sure this is the last Harley I buy. I've almost got it where I want it.
This thread is great. I hope it keeps going. I've looked at actual Harley forums, & they all seem to have a bad vibe. Lots of who can pee farther than who type stuff. I can't find one with the laid back friendly attitude we all have on here.

No problem, buddy... it is a nice bike.

That's the problem with a lot of HD owners (and cummins)... their ego and attitude...

Just thought I'd give this old thread a kickstart. Anyone working on thier bikes over the winter? What'cha got planned?
As for mine, I haven't changed the bars out yet, still have the 13in mini apes. Changed out the air cleaner that was on it for one of those HD ram air cone filter types. Big bore kit and cams got done last winter.
Gotta do new tires and brakes in February before the weather gets nice again.
Oh, and I got a new helmet. And I really do use it.....

..Haa! the spring melt has begun in the Midwest!! big high of 41 above zero today..50's in a few days..just going over to a friend to help him on new rocker gaskets this afternoon...I've been thinking about the idea of selling my Ultra classic & getting a road king, or heritage softtail..We don't do coast to coast trips anymore..so don't need the big bike...I will need to replace my Cam chain tension pucks this spring, but only have 32,000 miles on it...The riding season is about to begin!! It was Waaaay too long of a winter this year...!

Riding season is upon us! Time to bump this crusty dusty old thread up. My road King is sitting on the bike lift in my buddies custom shop. Black Crown Rod n Custom. I stripped it down last time home so he can paint it and add a few subtle custom touches while I'm away at work for 6 weeks. Should be re-assembled and ready to ride when I get home in May. I'll post pics of it when I get home.
Ride safe everyone.

Just put the Geezer-Glide in for its bi-annual visit to my HD dealer and the only other mechanic that has ever worked on any of my bikes.
All fluids changed and everything adjusted to spec.
Clean bill of health.
Now ........ waiting for Mother Nature to get her seasons straight.
