But like I said before...it all depends on what good dealers are in the area

First off, I think we are hijacking this poor guys thread!!

I am out west, and trust me there are WAY MORE 575 Balers and of course now the equivalent Case IH model SBX 550??? (I believe) which is the same baler.

Case dropped the Hesston baler in favour of selling the 575 machine.

I've got a real nice inline Case/Hesston 8555 that has been sitting here for over a year, care to buy it??

Meanwhile we sell probably 25 575's a year.

i am at the north end of the state just out of portland oregon and lakeview is at the south end of the state a good i suppose 275 miles away. we are in the wet part of oregon and lakeview is high desert. as far as balers go the export boys out here used to use alot of freeman balers they are built here in oregon and when it comes to heavy duty no body comes close bale density is a must. i know that many have moved away from freeman to other brands of three tie balers. sorry about gabbing to much in the wrong direction on this thread . i will try to sit idle now.

My apologies for assuming that Hesston was the brand of choice EVERYWHERE out west...I guess in your part of the world NH is bigger! Great!

Case didn't drop the Hesston line, the Federal Government FORCED them to sell it...you can't own both the #1 and #2 hay lines in North America! This all happened when Fiat took over.

If you're selling more 575's than the new Case's...I'm happy for you. I've never even seen a new Case baler in the parts since Hesston quit building them!

BTW, I can't sell those 8555's...wrong size bale, Sorry!
Also, since we are hijacking this thread, maybe we'll agree to disagree and move on!

Sorry for the hijack!
Chris
