JD are kinda like Ford trucks. Nice, comfortable, lots of electronics but nothing under the hood that can do some work.

Yep...us dealers have been telling AGCO for years that their next acquisition should be Deere's marketing department! Their equipment quality and functionality sure ain't what's keeping them on top

I used to spend a lot of time there, it seems to be pretty centered around compact tractor folks (30-45 HP), but there are some real farmers there too.

The best thing about JD is that it is still John Deere after all these years. No other tractor company can say that. You can go to a Deere dealer and look up tons of old parts yet. Try that with the others. Not slamming AGCO. I guess my White is one now. But it sure is hard to keep score on who owns who and who bought out who last.

John Deere makes the best stuff out there IMO. My Great uncle has a 2940 with about 12k hours on it, and runs a dairy. Its never even been rebuilt. We have never had a major problem out of any of our JD's. You can say that the green paint brings more than the rest, but has anyone priced new tractors lately(besides u Chris )? They arent cheap no matter what the brand. Also, the old fergusons arent much on hydraulics or brakes, but they are a heck of a good tractor. Those old perkins are hard to beat. 135's, 150's, 165's, 175's are all good tractors. Agco almost has a monopoly on the business now though. Heck they even make tractors labled cat

Oh, and on the combine video.... That more than anything is the Operator, and how worn out the header/machine is. That J/D didnt have his reel spinning very fast compared to the NH. Plus once they start getting worn out they dont feed quite as well

Oh, and do you know how bad it sucks to have to grease 6 combines every morning all the way around?? Yeah, it takes a while
