Another tool we ALL need

I decided to do a little cleaning around the place, so, I begged the Lt. out of one of the "Hotsy" washers.

That thing is sweet!!. 2400 psi and adjustable temp from cold to 260 degrees. Fired by Kero. Had to unload it out of the pickup with my front loader, but it will blast the crud right off of whatever. I spent about 2 hours on the tractor today. Think I'll go ahead and paint it Monday if I can get it ready.

Think I'll be in trouble if I tell the Lt. I lost it?????

I tried to link to the producer site, but it just sits there.

Ed

Edit: Got to thinking after I posted this it may sound like a commercial. Nope, not affiliated, just wish I owned one.

We had a huge one at the CAT dealer. Many BIG diesels went through that. I recall standing a 3412 on end the machine shop had worked on to wash it. It just fit inside. Yeah, wish I had one for home, works a lot better than a box of brake cleaner!!

I have personally not been impressed with the reliabillity of the Hotsy......

I have found that the burner would quit and cause problems on the two different models I used

I'd have to say they aren't my favourite washer.

Ive got my grandad's "steam washer" out in the shed. Snap-On washer, propane fired. The problem is its broken and I'm not sure what part(s) is needed to fix it. I remember when it actually did work. Man did that thing work! My dad paid me like 50 bux to clean all three of our tractors, the skid loader, most of the equipment and the milking parlor on the farm. Did it all in one day. Wishin I could figure out how to fix it...

That's interesting...... We have about 8 of the units in the motorpool. All get used almost on a daily basis. (We maintain about 400 pieces of armour).

The only thing we have had go bad was the hoses/wands. Maybe we are lucky?

Thanks for the feedback.

I was thinking the same thing. I bet with that group of users on here we could get it working again!
