Another reason for fuel prices

I was playing golf with a guy today that does the accounting for a major gas company. I asked him why prices are going up and he said it's because the oil that we are having to use produces a lower yield of diesel than the stuff from saudi arabia. The oil over there is incredibly pure and produces higher yields. He also said that it's basically because the companies can charge these prices. The oil they are refining right now is oil that they bought when it was only $40 some odd a barrel and not the $55+ stuff. I just thought yall'd like to know this. I found it pretty interesting.

I wonder why we just cant take the oil from these arabic countries that were/we've liberated, Irag, Afganistan, Kuwait, and protecting Saudi Arabia from threat. You know, maybe we should raise or fees/pricing for protecting them. Lets see how they like them apples! Wait a minute we protect everyone for free, the U.S. is the World Police.

HEY! Didn't we just sacrifice over a thousand of our sons and daughters to get control of the worlds second largest supply of oil? How about the takover of Afganistan so Unocal can build their pipeline?

So why are oil prices still headed up? Don't those stupid Iraqis and Afganis understand that we did it for their own good? Now that they're no longer enslaved to Saddam or the Taliban why aren't they pumping the oil for us?

Maybe trying to steal the oil wasn't such a good idea after all.

Summed up, it's called "GREED" There is too much money to be made in oil and too many moguls have their agenda to have the largest bank account over the other and they can pay off the politicians to keep the laws so they can charge more and more.
