Another lonely break room. 9/17 to whenever

It's Tuesday and no one has opened the break room,,, again. Guess I'll have to do it. Found the dragon in the corner crying, so I gave him to the kids next door. Cleaned up the place and brought in one of those Krueg coffee things and a bunch of pods. Threw out the old coffee maker, it was melted on the counter. Don't know what was in the fridge, had to beat it back with a stick. Called animal control to come and take it away.
Nice little 5.2 shaker yesterday evening 55 miles away. Nothing fell over, but there are things I need to secure before the next one.
44° this AM headed to the mid 50°s and cloudy. No rain until tonight then it looks like we get soaked for the next 2 weeks.
Been working on some drawers for the book case to put my DVDs in. Right now they are in plastic bin boxes on the living room floor.

Yeah, it is pretty quiet in here.
Made some hot tea and left some apple fritters on the counter, IF anyone stops by.
We almost had a frost up here last night, but judging from the beet plants in the garden we must have been just warm enough.

Made a cup of coffee and grabbed a fritter, thanks Oliver.
47°, been raining all night and is supposed to continue for the next few days. Got 9 out of 12 drawers completed. Ran out of wood for the last 3. Emptied 3 bin boxes into them and cleared up some floor space. Got a light fixture in the kitchen to replace and see what boxes I can disperse about the place. The wife is just about done cleaning up rental so we can give it back to the land lord. That place will not be missed!

Nice. Look what a few fritters dragged in! Some hungry DTR'ers

Good to see them not go to waste, the fritter that is.

Nice 60F* and sunny morning after another cool evening in VT.
The local ski MT plans on being open in less than 2 months...That give me a reminder that the old Dodge plow truck needs a little love before the big plow season.

LOVING IT !

Married 26 years yesterday. Realizing I'm an idiot for over 27 years can be quite a shock ! 😬

Congrats,
25 years for us on the 17th.

a few marriage-isms.
Before I got married I didn't even know there was a wrong way to put the milk back in the fridge.

My wife asked me what I wanted for dinner and then told me I was wrong.

I don't understand how God can have Ten Commandments for the whole world, and my wife can have 152 just for our house.

Never ask a woman who is eating ice cream straight from the carton how she’s doing.

and finally...
When my wife asks me to do that one thing in the bedroom that she really likes, she's talking about vacuuming.

Gee, this place does look deserted. Too bad - - was a lot of fun.

Holed up in the low mountains of NC. A bit nippy last night and needed a jacket. Had fun over the last few
weeks. Put quite a few miles on the chariot but saw some neat stuff - - like "The Ark Experience" and
Creation Museum. Amazing in both places. They are quite close to each other and easy to hit in one
trip. Highly recommend. Go online and get the package. Heading back home next week.

Have a good one. Bob

41° this AM. The rain has brought the termination dust to the surrounding hills. Won't be long before it reaches the valley floor. Break in the rain today. Turning over the keys to the rental today. The landlord was pleased with how well the wife cleaned up the joint, so we expect our deposit back. Just in time too. I need to get winter tires for the wife's new ride. New management upset at work. We'll have to wait and see how that plays out.

Morning all. Put some ph00 on but there was nothing else to serve and I just got home, so ain't got nuttin to bring in.
Had to leave early - - too much happening down here to stay longer - - - it was gorgeous in NC, but duties come first.
Drove even 14 hours pulling in the garage. Traffic close to and in Atlanta was absurd. Never again. I will skirt it no
matter how hard. Wasted a good 3hours with stopped traffic, construction and, well, just Atlanta. Horrible.

Unpacked and gotta get to work around here getting it put back together after prepping for the hurricane that never
made it over here. House is full of lanai stuff and some of it is very heavy.

Me gone,...……………………………...

Just had an email from Scotty. He was just completing his first 1/2 day of work back where he was. Said he was
feeling pretty good and everyone was happy to see him back. Sounded very upbeat...……...

No one been here since this morning, so going for another cup of ph00...………………..

32°, should loose a couple more by sun rise then up to maybe 50° later. Beautiful day yesterday. Got another storm moving in late this afternoon. Hopefully I can get the last of my drawers finished before the rain starts. Got the last of the junk out of the rental and turned over the keys. One more set of utility bills and we are clear of the place. Picked up some rims for the Aspen, now to find some winter tires.
