The Angel Flight

I was driving in from east Texas on Sunday and heard a song on one of the smaller radio stations called Angel Flight. I have never heard it before so I looked it up on the net to listen again. The only thing I can say is wow what a moving song.
I don’t get choked up most of the time but this made the road get blurry. Great song and a powerful message. I don’t know how to imbed so you will need to look it up but the artist name is Radney Foster.

I bought the CD it's pretty good, but every time I play Angel Flight It gets to me. The song was dedicated to an Army Helicopter crew that was killed in Iraq and the Air Guard crew that brought them home. My twin brother was an Army pilot killed in Iraq so it has special meaning for me.

I know they play it on 95.3 "The Range" quite a bit. But I think that might be the only station I've heard it on. Ever since we moved, I get much better reception on 95.3, so I've been listening to it quite a bit.

Sorry to hear about your brother. Was he stationed there at Rucker? Ran a lot of student pilots through Air Assault Schhool when I was there 91-92. Went to instructor school with a few of the flight instructors too. Aviation is a whole nuther world, but a great bunch of guys and gals.
