I still prefer to shop local at the mom and pop places that are left.
The locally owned fishing and hunting store is going out of business this week, as the market is so tough. I went in two days ago and bought a few things I will need.
I told the owner I would see him out on the water fishing.

When it's economically possible, in this time of ever escalating prices, I'll buy and trade locally...For what I can't find or afford locally, I shop the internet...If I can't afford it anywhere, I just do without...I do without a lot of things nowadays......Ben
