Re:Amazing video

I don't care what it is powered by, that is one AWESOME truck ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

The poor guy in the RX obviously didn't understand the concept of staging. Looks like he had to back up at least twice. He should have backed up a third time . . . right on out of the drag strip! Got to love those diesels ;D

Re:Amazing video

It's a 12V truck. At those insane power levels, you need the fire-hydrant fueling of the P-pump....

Re:Amazing video

I have just watched this video for the 4th time here at home.......I am still amazed.

I am new to this arena (only had the CTD 4 a year 1/2 now) and have to ask............

1. Is this truck "extraordinary"......it just took off like a rocket!
2. Do you get more acceleration in 4x4 or is it only 2H for that kind of take-off?
3. Is this the reason you guy's BOMB these babies?
4. What should the stock CTD do in a 1/4......... ???

Man...........I gotta turn the surround up and watch it again !!!!!!!!!!!!

1- yes, very much so, I've had the pleasure of seeing it in person and taking a peek under the hood.
Did see him race, but he broke either an input or output shaft on his first test-tune run so he just coasted to the end of the track.

2- If you try to launch in 2wd, you sit there and spin your tires, very bad for elapsed time .
Launch in 4X4, shift to 2H after first auto shift.
Saw a Ford attempting a 4x4 launch, kinda did the pee-pee dance down the track :,
was very surprised he didn't snap an axle or two or three during the dance.

3- For some, most BOMB so they can tow their portable homes with ease.

4- I was able to scrape out a 17.?? in mine, but my reaction times were all over 1.5.
No boost guage, so I was just guessing on my launches
(I put the stock 265's on for the track, was afraid of breaking something with the 315's)
