Al Jazeera Website Hacked
Al Jazeera Website Hacked
This is one hacker I would like to shake hands with. Saw it this morning. Apparently, they took the site down, or someone hacked it down. Gee, so sorry to see that.

I noticed the website has since been taken "over" by someone else and is no longer working.

http://english.aljazeera.net

Are you guys kidding? You know how much protection Aljazeera put up around their English website? State of the art. They knew American hackers were going to try it.

The Freedom Cyber Force Militia has access to a lot of expensive toys, high-end expertise, and all the bypass it needs. Not a boys-in-the-basement operation.

It's spooky. As in "now you know how your tax dollars are being spent" spooky.

ascraeus

There isn't much more they can do except to try and install intrusion detection. Either way, they never touched the webserver of Al Jazeera. It was a DNS hack redirecting the users who hit that domain over to another web server completely. This webserver had the graphic that I posted in the gallery. Even with other types of hacks, the PIX515, 535 or Checkpoint firewalls can only do so much, and those are top of the line firewalls. Almost nothing can stop a DDOS attack or DNS hijack.
Re:Al Jazeera Website Hacked
I think it is great that someone hacked those bass turds' website, although I did not click the links to see it. I don't even want to take a chance that it might go to their website. I heard they showed our dead servicemen on there, and I don't even want to give them a hit count, when they are not respecting our dead military folks. >

Really, Jack? I heard differently from some computer guys at the university here. Not that I'm saying you're wrong. Not that I'm saying what I'm saying is wrong, either, at least partly. Cyberwars is part of the new psychological strategy of the Defense Department. They've said that publicly on lots of occasions. So plausible deniability if you let some associates play with your toys.

Good poitns.

ascraeus
