"We can never invade the United States, for there is a rifle behind every blade of grass", a very intelligent Japanese person said this but I can't remember who.

LETS NEVER LET IT RING UNTRUE!

GOD BLESS OUR SOLDIERS.

I am hoping this same Quote can be attributed in this manner as well.....

"I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve." Obama 2011"

The best thing to come out of WWII in my opinion was the resolve the entire Country put forth to band together and defeat those who would take our Freedom away from us.

On Edit I need to add the Canadians in this as well.......the Sacrifices they put out in WWII was as if there was NO Border between us...

Both of my grandfathers served in WWII. One in European front one in the Solomon Islands.

The Greatest generation indeed.

Miss them both dearly.

One of mine as well. Joined the Navy Dec. 8th..... Spent his time in the Pacific. Thankfully he's still around to share some stories.

Definitely the Greatest generation.
