I love watching that video. Those cars sound so mean. It's amazing the RPMs they spin.

Those cars are engineering marvels. 19,000 rpm motors, titanium connecting rods (that stretch due to the rpm) and wicked cornering ability.

Then I look at the 3,200 rpm red line of our 6.7 and giggle, those motors idle faster than what the 6.7 red line is.

When I was stationed overseas I got to attend the Grand Prix of Monaco in 1968 when the Matra Ford was running...In the 40+ years since then, I still can't get that sound out of my mind......Ben

I think the older ones at the lower RPMS sounded better.

Well then, you would probably have liked "working corners" with me at say Long Beach when we ran f1's in the streets. No matter the quality of your ear plugs, the sound of the DFV and DFX Ford engines and the v-12's/and 16's ringing off the buildings oh yeah baby,oh yeah. The Indy Cars engines just don't quite get it. The only sound that might equate would be Group 7 cars,Can Am challenge at Riverside or Laguna.Ah,the "old days".Not as old as Stan though.

The ones towards the end are the best! Extreme horse power at extreme RPM's with very little torque and they won't even idle!! I love it
