You need to be careful posting pics like that.

That looks just like the secret Ford PowerStroke "Variable Displacement" Connecting Rod.
Their legal department might be contacting you shortly.

What RPM did it achieve before grenading?

Looks like the crank chewed on the rod a little bit.

Just for fun,,,,,

I guess it would be real mean to post that last pic over on the GM boards cause it actually looks more like a DuraMax rod,,,,,,,,,

with a caption like............ "Look what happened to my new D-max"

I have a buddy that used to race karts and them guys were just as serious as the guys in NASCAR

Oh, brings back memories. We broke those 5 HP BS engines like that every day back in high school. We did things to those that shouldn't even be mentioned. We had crankshafts coming out of the crankcase, and a few really good explosions. Good ole Ag deparment.

I saw one briggs that had a horstman i-beam rod let the end cap go and sent the rod up through the block, up the sleeve (out side of the motor) , and stopped at the head. The rod was still connected to the piston, sticking straight out the side of the cyl., just under the head . I asked him how he do that? He just said he ran to high at just over 10G. I should have taken a pic of it
