I need a repair manual for a complete overhaul for the 4L60E transmission in a Chevy Tahoe. I'd also like to get a better than stock rebuild kit for it since the vehicle regularly eats the Mr Goodwrench remanufactured transmissions.
If you've got the manual or got access to one please PM me.
Anybody got experience with the different rebuild kits?

i have a Haynes overhaul manual for 700r-4/2004r th-350/400 and it leaves a bit to be desired, i've just read through it, i haven't done a rebuild myself. i've always heard if you have some mechanical skill it's not very difficult to do a trans, it's on my list of things to try on my own tranny sometime.

 

I've ordered the ATSG manual for it. Personally I do really dislike the Haynes manuals.

Haynes and Chilton have both let me down on a LOT of projects. that's actually how I found DTR, searching the web looking for how to do something on my truck that wasn't in the chilton.
