The 67000 is referring to the $67,000 that GM paid the owner after they denied his warranty claim, saying an engine brake caused the damage. He paid $21,000 to have the engine replaced. The engine brake was determined not to be the cause of the failure. Metal fatigue in a valve stem was determined to be the root cause. Smart of the owner to pay the core charge and have an independant party inspect the blown engine.

$21K to replace an engine??? Did they provide lube? No freaking thanks!!
And I thought 8500 was a little high for a Cummins R&R.
