3rd gen V10?

Has anyone had or driven one of these? What kind of mpg (I'm guessing 12-14 highway)? Any issues? I know they are pretty reliable in the 2nd gens, but did they change them at all for 2003? This is probably only about the 3rd or 4th v10 3rd gen I have ever seen.

I'm asking because I found a very clean 2003 QC LB SLT 4x4 2500 with V10 and 5 speed manual 32k miles. I had a 03 HO CTD 6 speed, but now have a 94 CTD auto.

Thanks!

Dads got a 03 V-10 dually...

MPG- 6-8 on a good day.

Pulling power- about half of what a Cummins is..

Speed- about 25sec 1/4 mile.

IMO- there is a reason they quit making these things

Yikes!

Well maybe it was good that it was sold before I could go look at it.

And sorry, the only pictures were of the outside and you could just barely make out the V10 emblem where the Cummins emblem goes.

Thanks guys, guess I will keep looking for what I really wanted; a 305 H.O. CTD 6 speed like I had before.

Thats funny cause thats how dad ended up buying his.. I passed a dealership one day and seen a great price listed on the front windshield of dually and called him.. He had been looking for a Dodge dually pickup and this one was a Laramie. We drove back to the dealership and dad fell in love with it.. I advised against the V-10 but it was to late
