2500 Pulls Huge Bus! Pictures!

i work third shift, so yesterday morning on my way home from work there is more traffic then usual. only to find a bus that had tried to pull out of a steep parking lot on to a street with a pretty large crown. he made it out far enough to block four out of five lanes and get stuck. his rear end had drug the ground and took the pressure off his drive wheels. when i finally figure out whats going on, i know this was what i have been waitng for ever since i bought my cummins! so being the person i am i pulled over and talked to the guy, he was the owner. i asked if he needed a hand, he replyed that a large wrecker was on the way. i told him i had a large chain and could try to give him a little tug. he kind of looked at me funny and i told him i knew what i was doing! hooked up the chain in a single line, took the slack out and started pulling. 4lo, 1st gear only to spin all four tires. so i backed up a little and he got out of the bus with the "i told you so" look on his face. so i used some DTR tug or war pointers, higher hitch helps! told him let me try something... backed up and doubled the chain back to the bus to shorten it to get more downward force. got back in the truck and starded the clutch out slowly, slipped it a little gave it a little throtle and let her grab. pulled right out! i almost could not get out of my truck my head was so big!! i took a few pics with the trusty ol' camera phone after i got him out cause everyone always wants pics/proof! sorry i didn't get any befors shots. he said he didnt have any cash and he wanted my address so he could send me some money, i told him dont worry about in but he kept bothering me so i gave it to him. we'll see if any thing comes... i dont really care its worth the braging rights. these trucks are awsome! got to love the cummins!

I did that one time with my neighbors Peterbuilt road tractor. He said it couldn't be done.He was stuck in gravel with one brake hub rusted shut & I drug him uphill about 15 ft. with the wheels sliding. Good job on the bus !

I THINK YOUR PULLIN MORE THAN A BIG 'OL BUS... I see a lot of rubber on the ground behind the bus but no evidence of forward motion... looked like you were pullin while the maxi-brakes were on

Good tug!

I pulled out a F-750 with a full 20 yard dumpster on the back out of some mud, it was great when the guy said I have a tough little truck...

those marks were from the first attempt with the chain all the way out! not enough weight 8k vs. ??k... shortened the chain because he was so low it created downward force on my rear tires and i didnt even spin a tire!

man it felt so good!

That is cool. I love to show off the powre of these trucks.

I was stuck in sand with my old 1/2 ton Chevy 2wd once and a guy comes along on a Honda 250 2wd four wheeler and offers to try and pull me out. Guess what. It worked. This after a small 4wd Ford just spun down in the sand.

Kinda the same thing ... smaller scale.

I was with a buddy of mine one time and he pulled a stuck KW logtruck out of some decent mire using his 1500 6.2 in 4 low. The KW was helping but he wasnt going anywhere until we hooked up to him.
