Has anyone else heard about this? Terrible happening today at VA Tech.

 

It was only a 1.5 years ago that I was there getting my masters. Ironically, most of my time was spent in Norris Hall. None of my former classmates/colleagues were involved that I am aware of.

 

What is this world comming to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just turned on the tv 10 min ago watching it now.

 

Been watching the updates, sounds like they are now confirming everything is secure.

 

All GUN-FREE ZONES do is create a larger group of Defenseless Victims.

Here Here! One legally armed student or faculty member could have put a stop to this before it turned into a massacre..

 

Toll is up to 32 now... Saying two seperate shootings at opposite ends of the campus, two hours apart.

 

Anybody know why or for what reason this happened? This is terrible.

 

i am sure it will come out soon but probably some trouble kid like Columbine.

 

This is crazy! I first read about this around 0930 and only 1 person had been confirmed dead.


Shovel is right! This could have been avoided by allowing the students and faculty the right to defend themselves!

Local news is saying it was an "Asian" male, wearing body armor and extra "Clips" strapped to his vest.

 

0930 and the second shooting had not occured yet...

From what I have heard, it was the second shooting incident that was the worst of the two.

Definitely agree about how the students and staff should have the right to defend themselves. I wish it were allowed here too.... but it's not...

yea, but people my age don't need to cary guns.... to many normal fights would turn deadly....

 

Sad news, just plain sad. All those families changed forever. The gun control nuts will have a hayday with this one.
