I was at a dealer here local in Nashville last week. They are running that Employee pricing plus thingy again. There was a silver 6spd 4x4 quad cab that was callin my name. It was stickered at 34 down from 42 and they said they could probably get it down further to 32ish! It's only money right Then they tried to get me in a SRT10 quad cab. I don't like autos though

I was told today that Chrysler may make the current rebates sweeter later in the month if they don't move enough vehicles...plus its always better to purchase at the end of the month.

On the news tonight there was a segment on how trucks & SUV's are taking a real hit. Best wait a few months when the real deals will be out to help slow sales. They will be giving "06's" away at cost.

And it might very well be a good idea to get an 06 before all of the emissions stuff comes out in 07.

All of these rebates, no interest, cash back, free oil changes, lifetime tires, etc. are a vain attempt to keep the sticker prices way up there, in case the economy should improve, then they will already have the sticker prices high and can simply drop all the freebies.

It makes it rough on those of us that pay cash, should we wish to buy a new vehicle.

The interest is already included in the price.

We had a lady in the shop, driving a new Cadillac Escalade, with 22" tires.

She said that she got free lifetime tire replacement.

I wonder how slick the tires will have to be to qualify for free replacement; I bet a lot slicker than she is in the habit of running them.
