** World Famous DTR Breakroom May 20 - May 26 **
Personally endorsed by Charlie Daniels...
Lights are about to come on... Coffee's made, breakroom was cleaned by some **ahem** motivated recruits... It's white glove ready. At least till the janitor comes in. Then we'll need a decon team to clean stuff back up...
Hope everyone has a great week. I'm planning on taking my truck to the dyno tomorrow, hope to post a decent number or two...

Hey Hat, you ain't doin' too good gettin' these slackers movin' in the mornin'! What's up with that? Gettin' a bit too old to be doin' the early mornin' stuff?
T-Rad, good deal meeting Mr Daniels! Good pics too, thanks for posting them! That guy's lookin' a bit on the 'aged' side tho, but Charlie still looks good!
Looks like we got a new guy comin' inta the breakroom... welcome! Don't make a mess of the place and you'll do OK! Watch the coffee when the Hat makes it, he's still perfectin' his skills.
Been a busy week here in glorious Massachusetts. It's rained for the last 4 or 5 days, cold temps, windy...
Our juvenile fire setters did NOT have fun sloggin' thru the mud, draggin' a inch and three quarter charged and flowing hose line! I told 'em that firefighting isn't just a fair weather occupation... they got that message loud and clear! We'll try it again this week when the temps are in the 80's and it gets humid!
'Nuther pot O'
is ready.

Good Sunday morning DTR. Hat, thanks for the upgrade! Scott, are you the task master for the community service labor force? I bet you can find a second in South Carolina and the guy already has a little experience
with "motivational training".

Morning All... Trying to get back into a routine after going to bed at 12 on Friday, getting up at 5AM on Saturday, putting 500 miles on my truck yesterday, and going to sleep at 12:30 last night
.
But there's no better place to start the morning than on DTR.

Howdy to the new faces in the breakroom and I guess to the rest of ya'll. About to go watch my roommate rope, then come back hopefully inspired to saddle up my trainee, and I'll probably wind up raking hay again today.

Now if you'd have just added the '*'s to it, it'd be done right!
Well, since you asked...
Back in the early 90's I developed a program for 'treating' kids who had set fires. The state had a program, but me being ME, I didn't agree with some of their methods. After I had run a couple of these classes of my own design, the developer of the state program stepped in and told me I shouldn't be doing it MY way, it was her way or the highway. Again, me being ME, I continued doing things MY way. Five years later the state fire marshal asked my business partner, (who had also become involved inthe program by this time), and me to present the program at the annual state-wide juvenile fire setters' conference, mainly because we had a 93% success rate in treating these kids while the state program's average was around 40%. We did the presentation and a few years later the state adopted and started using OUR program methods instead of their own. Now our program is being used, in part, as the national curriculum at the National Fire Academy.
I haven't accomplished a whole lot in my life, but this is one thing that I'm pretty proud of.

Morning all.
I spy with my little eye BLUE SKY, can't believe it stopped raining. If it holds out is another thing.
Finally had time to get a haircut yesterday. Starting to look like the janitor's old avatar.
Scaring the kids in town was fun though. Whole lot shorter, not as short as Madhats but I payed a little more and they didn't cut holes in it like Trads either.
Have to wash some of the mud off the truck today. Make a flower bed for the better half, if she can decide where she wasts it. Mow lawn is in the works if it stays nice, and a few other odds and ends. Cut up some trees that fell on the fence/ fix fence. Full day ahead, so I better get at it.
Hat hope you put up some good numbers tomorrow. Post some pics if you take any.
See you later. Have fun and drive safe.
