Well all y'all, it it just about time to usher in Canadian Thanksgiving for 23 million people. To put that number in perspective, the population of the country of Canada is about the same as the population of the state of California. We are still the second largest country in the world after Russia, but we don't have all that many people.
I have put out fresh baked cinnamon buns, steel cut oatmeal meal eggs benedict for breakfast. Someone else will have to look after the pH00.

Welcome to the new breakroom all y'all.

Well done, Sean. We all need to look around us and realize how good we have it comparison to millions of others around the world. We just accept it all without recognizing the source of all good things.

Breakfast looks great, but no ph00!!!! Oh my goodness. OK Bob, be thankful for the rest and make the ph00 ya big dummy. .........................

Ph00 is done, grabbing mine and off and running. Gotta get beautiful and head to church. ..................

Have a gudurn and say thanks,

Bob

Good morning everybody, young 'n old, sick, decrepit or healthy, fat or thin, sane or insane, tall or short, hairy or not, diesel sniffers and others, poor or rich, plus everybody in between.

Thanks Sean for starting the new breakroom and setting out some nice grub and coffee.

I was out for much of yesterday and when I came back and was talking to my wife for a while when she nervously said "I hope that you do not kill me". Whoa! Big red flags!!! My response was "What did you do now"? She and her youngest son (an architect) have decided that they do not like the new color of the wall I just finished painting. WHAT?????!!!!! She bought and chose the color without any influence from me! Huge sigh. No, did not explode, but wisely kept my mouth shut. If I want to keep the peace in my family have no choice but to send her out to go and buy another 5 gallon can of paint and re-paint the wall. Hope that 5 gallons is enough. This will not be quite so bad, because the wall is already repaired and prepped. Should be able to do it in a day or 1.5 days. Some time next week. What husbands need to go thru to keep wives happy! Anybody else been through a situation like this?

JWBM, in your last post you mentioned about listening to classic oldies. One I like is Jones College Radio in Florida. I pick in up thru my computer and then send it to different parts of the house via wireless speakers. Try http://flashplayer.jones.edu/ You also said that you were going "hunting pumpkins". Did not know pumpkins needed to be hunted. Do you use special orange camo gear? What other equipment is required to bring these critters home? Hoe do pumpkins hide from hunters?

Fronty, that start sounds very messy. Was there a big mess to clean up after you got that thing shut down again?

Mix of sun and cloud today, but is still going to be a lovely day. Hope all of you have a great Sunday.

hehehehe, funny. SHOULD wear orange for pumpkin hunting.....lol yesterday after hearing tannite charges going off in the field across, I debated about using my own- back at their campout........at 3AM.......what a nuisance, so much for eating deer I guess. ijuts.

have to find cooking pumpkins, tough to find. most farms here (total ag district county) do the multi vendor approach (seasonal activities, mazes, kid friendly stuff) so tons of no flavor, no meat carving pumpkins.

have to hit the older couple farms for the good cooking, bread making, pie pumpkins.... secret? search, stalk, whisper, barter, obtain. still give them five bucks or so....

LOVE roasted seeds though, so I will get about four good ones to enjoy!

first heavy frost, passed on phoo as I have cider and cinnamon bits.....
favorite time of year!!! should do something.....maybe paint a wall for Mexstan a.k.a Tom Sawyer.......snicker snicker

Mornin, mornin.

Sean, happy Thanksgiving day to ya!

Stan... man, I feel for you. I don't think I've ever had something like that happen to me (not trying to rub it in), but I can understand.

Heidi, good luck with the pumpkin hunting... I like some good pumpkin pie, that's about it.

Finished my class yesterday, that's a good feeling. Went to a friend's house and had some burgers and such, along with some really good bourbon. I'm really enjoying learning about bourbon- and drinking it too! I want to hit the bourbon trail one day, but I'm going to need a driver/babysitter

I'll toss a pot of regular stuff on for the non Ph00 drinkers. Y'all have a great Sunday!

Mornin youins. The rain finally stopped last night. Good thing it warmed up to do it. Put a bacon/cheese dog in one of them cinimon buns. Yummy. Who ever too the last cup of phoo should have taken the pot off the burner. Stinko. The wife make a pumpkin turkey stew inside the pumpkin. It's really good.

Sean, sorry, but going to dispute that number of 23 million. I thought it did not look right, so checked and I would say that it is closer to 34.5 million, making Canada the 37th most populous country in the world.
Discovered an interesting statistic; An impressive 2.8 million Canadian citizens live outside of Canada itself; that's equivalent to 9% of the overall Canadian population. For comparison, only 1.7% of US citizens live abroad but more than 20% of New Zealanders live abroad.

Interesting numbers Stantistics.
You are one of the 9%.
I read a stat awhile back that the state of NY had a population greater then all of Canada as did CA. Is that true? Maybe its better to say their populations aren't greater but larger.

I ran a couple of pumpkins thru the blender and dumped in last week's coffee grounds...its in the phoo pot for ewe no hoo.

Yesssss! Love being one of the 9%. I do not own a snow shovel, but do need to water the lawn and garden 12 months a year.

No idea about the comparison stats with NY and Commifornia. With all the fat people, they are definitely larger.

Leave Bob alone!!!!! Stop tormenting the poor guy.

Had a great weekend, just piddling around. Wife made an early supper of BBQ chicken, mashed taters and corn. Was working on second plate when I blew the side out of a back molar. Dang it!

Guess I'll be taking leave in the morning.....

Stan, I have no doubt that my number is out of date, not going to get an argument from me.

Those must be tough mashed taters if they took out a tooth.

Well folks, we are halfway through the fun but crazy part of Thanksgiving weekend. My family have been here and left. We had a great time last night. Right after they left another friend stopped by to get garden veggies. The stuff like peas have been gone for weeks but the root veggies have been hanging in. The very last carrots are being roasted for dinner #2 as I type this after we sent a bunch home with my sister and the friends who stopped by. All that is left is 5 or 6 leeks and a few beets. The beets get so much sweeter after a few light frosts.

Have a good Sunday everyone.

Situation? Nah, that's just normal.......... At least she didn't say she really wanted an 8 foot wide porch after saying she wanted a 6 foot wide one......

Yep, still 6 foot wide.......

Anyway, you might consider a HVLP turbine setup to spray it, I bought one of these to do the interior walls in my pole barn, really didn't think it would do all that well, but figured I would only be out a little if it was garbage.

Worked VERY well, I had almost no overspray and even inside the building, didn't come out looking like Casper the friendly ghost ( painting white Implement enamel ).

Anyway, it is a thought........

All you need is 110VAC, sounds almost like a Vacuum cleaner running.
