***? Peter Arnett's first story for the Daily Mirror
Here's a quote from Peter Arnett's first story for the Daily Mirror, a long personal essay on his experiences with the Iraqi government during his stays in Baghdad.
I dunno. Saddam, are you there?
". . . .What is supremely tragic about the American perspective on the Iraqi regime is the utter lack of knowledge about Saddam's true loyalties. While he expresses a vocal contempt for the U.S. government and the Bush administration, the Iraqi dictator and both of his surviving sons admire American culture. In fact, they have spent large amounts of money emulating the fast and materialistic American lifestyle. Saddam regularly watches the History Channel and the Fox news network, and eats a supper of cheesburgers and french fries at least once a week. He speaks fluent English, and plays a Les Paul Stratocaster guitar for relaxation. (His favorite song, he once told me, is "Satisfaction", by the Rolling Stones.) Last summer he bought two American automobiles for his personal use: a Chevrolet Corvette, and Dodge four-wheel drive pickup truck with a turbocharged diesel engine. He enjoys working on his own vehicles in his spare time, and frequents several internet diesel truck and sports car forums based in the United States. . . . "

Maybe Saddam is a frequent "guest" of the DTR?
[/quote]
Ah great!
I'd love to "Moderate" him!
I could change his signature to read "Freedom Will Ring" and regardless of what he types, the only thing that would show on the boards is a waving U.S. flag!
I could really have fun with his Avitar! ;D
Lemme at him! lemme at him!

Well you guys finally figured it out I'll give ya alot of credit, but have dropped many subtle hints about my service in the first Gulf War. Yeah I do prefer the Cummins Diesel, married to a Spicer running gear in the harsh, desert environment. My sons don't appreciate the Cummins technology, they much prefer working on the 65 Malibu. My G.F. grill does make the Mother of all Burgers.... well gotta go before they trace my wireless link, see ya guys!

S.H.

... man, I was almost ready to sell my truck and buy Furd Focus. Good thing that April fool reminder. But in the future, please take into consideration those who might have weak physical and emotional conditions. News of the possibility of being lumped together with such people of superior intelect , and many other exraordinary attributes , might give them a serious case of inferiority complex, regarding vehicular, dietary, and recreational choices.
