*** The Leftover Ghosts and Goblins Breakroom 11/2 - 11/8 ***

Well everyone, welcome to the new breakroom. The dragon is in a good mood, she actually licked my hand as I walked by instead of turning some innocent bystander into brimstone. I hope I can set out a breakfast spread that works for all y'all. For the southerners we have biscuits and gravy, for the Yankees we have fat free granola and fresh fruit, for the Confederates we have grits and for us Canadians we have back bacon, eggs over easy and English Muffins.

For all we have pH00, drip coffee, perc coffee, chai and tea. For the chitluns we have hot chocolate with cinnamon and marshmallows.

Ok, I am pretty sure my work here is done.

Happy new week to everyone.

Hola. WOW!!! What a spread!!! Almost too many choices, but nobody is complaining. Thanks Sean.

I am always fairly busy, but this week have an overflowing plate. Forget having more hours in the day, I need another day or two this week to get everything done. Now I also need to go and visit the dentist.

Have been asked to take a trip up to the border, so have a tentative departure date of Nov 17 in mind. Will be gone all week as we scurry around looking for stuff to bring back to the orphanage.

hey, we have snow, so hot chocolate and apple spiced hot cider (hunters brought tim Horton's donut holes= calories, fat and hey......they left the chocolate ones....)

have a nephew in DFW area that plays semi pro football. works at family machine shop. college scouts want him to combine. he is 27, okay~

now, all over local news (oh the travesty! <sarcasm) is a junior qb on a high school team that was ruled ineligible and forfeited a playoff berth due to medical. team held him for play at playoff level after a early season broken wrist. he could have played during the season but coached to play at playoff level for championship. (called sand bagging, like using a ringer)
he is being scouted by four pro football teams.....
private lawyer argued he should be allowed to play due to a miscommunication of the rules. (suit up and play a down in three games in season). judge said no follow rules, no play-period.
How could pro level scouts be so involved at this kid's level? scary...

hey to Clyde, Clint, Canuck, CanadianCuisineCook and CommanderLarry....

Mornin y'all. Thought I'd throw some Alaska favorites on the buffet table this morning. Reindeer sausage, sourdough pancakes to wrap them in (our version of pig in a blanket), and for desert a nice freshly baked moose turd pie.

Cougar, did Sam donate to the mouse turd pie?
Riding over to Gibbon with the kid that worked with us this summer. He wants to look at a 2000 Dodge truck with a 360. Says the 12-14MPG won't bother him.

Happy Sunday afternoon all y'all. Mother Nature had a bit of a hissy fit on southern Alberta last night. We got about a foot and a half of heavy wet snow between noon yesterday and today. Luckily, the only driving DW and I had to do today was a short drive to yoga this morning. The nice new snow tires on my Echo did just fine. The system was forecast for a few days so you can imagine my surprise reading in the news today about back-country hikers that got caught in the storm and had to be rescued. Geeze people, check the weather before you go in the back country of the Rockies. Mother Nature ALWAYS wins!!!
Supper tonight is rib steaks on the bbq, steak frites (trying to make french fries sound classy) and brocolli. I am quite excited.

Have an awesome evening everyone.

All right, all y'all Merkins, I have to ask, what is up this week States side? Is it mid-term elections? I never thought I would miss commercials, but geeze Louise, I don't need to hear one more reason why this Democrat, Republican, Tea Party Republican or independant is wrong. I swear, I hear more political commercials right now than I do television.
