Its still right next to the coffee pot (its the hot one).

Spent five days running amok. One day spent in the big city (Anchorage). City traffic.
dssimecek Its raining a little here. I could put some in a jar and send it to you.
Got to go to the old folks place in awhile. Going to be fried chicken. Something about chicken fried in a big cast iron skillet cooked by 90 year old gals that makes it taste better than any other.

Maybe its the Polident from the occasional dropped denture.

If ya gotta go, GO!

Evening all. Think I almost have the 3rd rebuild of this motorhome throttle cable done. Manufacturing all new innerds for the existing housing. Hope that this one will last at least 75K miles or more but building spare parts so I have what I need if I have to fix it again. All this while on the road on "vacation".

I feel better now. Everything came out all right. Glad I don't have to clean that bathroom. Had a little trouble getting out though, the door was wedged in the jam from the blow out. I did clear the birds nest off the vent pipe for them though. It wound up in the swimming pool with the dragon. Gave him something to play with for a while.

Polaraco, Nice pic! I've got one like that of the USS Alabama and one on the USS Hornet. Those old ships are really interesting to me.

SCOTT!

Evening DTR.

Almost bunkie time.

Had to feed more hungry mouths that I planed on. So did some ratburgers to go with cluckers and 'tater salad. Big black loud clouds rolled in the breeze pick up and it cooled down. But NO RAIN.

Cougar glad everything came out OK for you.

Hvytrk and Chaikwa. Think positive thoughts, like this week will not go down the dumper. Laugh and the world wonders what your up to now.

Polaraco, nice pix. Got any more to post, it looks like a fun time.

Bark, just shoo the rain on down to Cypress TX by way of DFW for Shorts to get some rain. Them sexy senior ladies know how to fry chicken in the iron skillet. Lots of oil that is HOT. Some use lard. Hope you got your fill.
I have been to AK and Anchorage. Amazing, bigest state in the union, with the smallest population and can't find a parking place in Anchorage.

12valve, you all fixed up and on the road again?

Sleep well all, the night shift is on guard duty.

BINGO! I think you figured it out. The two sisters who were doing the frying make the best chicken with lots of herbs and stuff but I couldnt figure out how they get a crisp, almost fluffy crust on it. I thought they were melting a block of shortening in the pans but I would bet it was lard. I ate too much what ever it was.

Yeah, when they finally remodel the bathroom, they need to avoid nailing the roof on so the pressure can escape. It would save some of the damage to the walls and door.

Yes, unfortunatly. Couple of Generals coming, but not for me, thankfully. I just want my dang cert... I don't need any pomp and parade.

Yeah, me too.

Ever feel like just turning on the coffee pot and starting at 2245? Don't bother going to bed, just get a head start on tomorrow...

Back in SoCal... Freezing. It was 67 earlier.

Drinking a beer and sitting in the hotel room. Went and ate with an old boss tonight... it pays to take time to go see old friends.

Ok, going to bed.

Morning all! Enjoy the fire drill?

Today is MONDAY! It's also August 15th.

On this day in 1877 - Thomas Edison wrote to the president of the Telegraph Company in Pittsburgh, PA. The letter stated that the word, "hello" would be a more appropriate greeting than "ahoy" when answering the telephone.

1911 - The product Crisco was introduced by Procter & Gamble Company.

1914 - The Panama Canal was officially opened to commercial traffic as an American ship sailed from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean.

1918 - Diplomatic ties between the U.S. and Russia were severed.

1935 - Will Rogers and Wiley Post were killed in an airplane crash in near Point Barrow, AK.

1943 - Because of his special talent to use food scraps in both unusual and appetizing recipes, the U.S. War Department awarded Sgt. Edward Dzuba the Legion of Merit.

1944 - The Allied forces of World War II landed in southern France.

1945 - The Allies proclaimed V-J Day a day after Japan agreed to surrender unconditionally.

1961 - East German workers began construction of the Berlin Wall.

1971 - U.S. President Nixon announced a 90-day freeze on wages, rents and prices.

1992 - Vietnam blamed Hollywood for creating the "myth" concerning the issue of U.S. servicemen still being held prisoner in Indochina.

2001 - Astronomers announced the discovery of the first solar system outside our own. They had discovered two planets orbiting a star in the Big Dipper.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
The reason we run into brick walls is to prove how badly we really want something.

Coffee's kinda weak this morning, but them again it was Blake who made it.
