My computer's been freezing up lately. Can't watch but a few videos on youtube and have to restart to get Firefox going again. Started checking on the programs listed in the "install/uninstall" page of the control panel, found 3 CD/DVD burning programs I didn't even know were on here. I belive that means it came with 4 programs to that allow it to burn a DVD. Now if I could figure out where all my memory goes, I got it back up to about 5 gig free from 1 1/2, and now I'm down to 1 again. Moved a lot of pictures onto a flash drive, so something is eating up memory on me. Tempted to do a re-boot and start over. Could be remains of every software update hidden on here, how could you ever find it all?

oatmeal...
Hey I had to start somewhere, and it was something I hadn't seen on the shelf before!!!!!!!

And counting sheep doesn't help. Just gets you excited.

On a somber note:
The news said that the plane that crashed in Soldotna today killing all ten was a floatplane. It is not.
Its usually parked about 1 mile as the crow flies from my house. I have chartered it before.
The pilot was very experienced so I don't know what happened.
His father died about 12 years ago. He managed to land a plane that had passengers than died from a heart attack.

You heat water in a water heater to make hot water. You don't need a hot water heater if the water is already hot.

Today is Monday, July 8th.

1608 - The first French settlement at Quebec was established by Samuel de Champlain.

1663 - King Charles II of England granted a charter to Rhode Island.

1693 - Uniforms for police in New York City were authorized.

1776 - Col. John Nixon gave the first public reading of the U.S. Declaration of Independence to a crowd at Independence Square in Philadelphia.

1865 - C.E. Barnes patented the machine gun.

1881 - Edward Berner, druggist in Two Rivers, WI, poured chocolate syrup on ice cream in a dish. To this time chocolate syrup had only been used for making ice-cream sodas.

1950 - General Douglas MacArthur was named commander-in-chief of United Nations forces in Korea.

1960 - The Soviet Union charged Gary Powers with espionage. He was shot down in a U-2 spy plane.

1963 - All Cuban-owned assets in the United States were frozen.

1969 - The U.S. Patent Office issued a patent for the game "Twister."

1986 - Kurt Waldheim was inaugurated as president of Austria despite controversy over his alleged ties to **** war crimes.

Today's thought:
I could not at any age be content to take my place in a corner by the fireside and simply look on. Eleanor Roosevelt

What a weekend. Fireworks related garage and car fires, another water rescue
Then 5 yo falls into the river. 3rd day of the search for her. That will teach me for taking an overtime shift. Sunday was a great day in the pool with my 5yo grand daughter, ().. Glad that week is over. Time to break some knuckles.

Just when I'm sick of working 2 jobs crap happens in the city then I look forward to wrenching to take my mind off of the crap. Works good.

Y'all have a good week and once again, squeeze them loved ones!

Good morning, this is just a quick flyby as my day gets going.

I can't get the quote function to work the way I want so I will do this old-school.

Chaikwa - a cluth is a clutch when you suffer from FFS (Fat Finger Syndrome) when typing on an iPad. An abbatoir is where meat is slaughtered and then cut and packed. I couldn't really just call the place a butcher when the steer walked itself in one door and came out the other door frozen and in boxes and wax paper.

I think I have mentioned a couple of times that this week is the Calgary Stampede. I heard on the radio this morning about one of the competitions. I will tell you all the name of the competition, but keep in mind this is a family rated site if you reply. The competition was in the sheep barns and it is the 'wool bagging competition'. Apparently it is a times event and the point is to see which sheep shearer can get 30 pounds of freshly sheared wool into a little canvas bag. I heard the name of the competition and nearly drove off the road laughing.

All right all y'all. Play safe and keep it between the navigational beacons.

Morning gang. Well looks like my left flapper is going to be broke for a while. Tore my left Labrum and will need 7 anchors to reattach. Looks like 10-12 weeks of recovery. Not looking forward to this one. Looks like ya'll are going to be my best friends while I'm laying on the couch for several weeks.

The kids is what always got to me, more so AFTER the event instead of during, thankfully. Not much adult related ever bothered me, but if I were in your shoes right now I'd be a mess.

Nothing is working correctly here this morning. Situation normal... you know the rest.

Go to work! You can lay around there just as well as anywhere. Come to think of it, that's about all you do there to begin with, so no one will notice the difference!

Just got back from the welding store. It's the circuit board. Only $1100 too! I contacted Miller about the problem and the reply I received last week was that someone would contact me today. We'll see. I've been a True Blue Miller customer for over 30 years but that may change.

It's the very reason I quit the Brown County S&R Dive Team. Recovering an adult body from the river is a little easier than pulling a 5 year old. Water can 'alter' a body in a devastating way in a very short amount of time.

Yep. The panel the board is mounted to is attached directly to the frame the motor is mounted to, and it produces more vibration when it's running than a truck on air ride would ever think of. I think I've hit a nerve because I have an engineer from Miller calling me now wanting pictures and a detailed description. Almost like this isn't the first one they've ever seen.

The BOARD being on a vibrating tray isn't the real problem here. The ceramic resistor that hangs off the side on cheap little copper brackets is the problem. If the mounts were made of something heavier than tin foil, (literally!), they wouldn't have broken and the board wouldn't have shorted out.

Scotty, you were in IN and didn't stop by to say hello?
