Nice day today. Went up over 40* today. No jacket needed. Got up early and put the winter tires on the spare truck just in case I need it this winter. Pulled the battery and covered the thing too. just in case. It ain't much of a looker (beat up '94 S-15 Jimmy) but the thing is glued to the road in an ice storm. Much better than Mama's T&C. My truck just gets chains.....

I'll light the burner again to soften the sludge.

Boy, talk about a dead breakroom. The smell of the "coffee" must have driven people away. Was going to make a fresh pot, but don't know how the remove the semi solidified stuff out of the pot to make room for a fresh batch. Tried lacquer thinners, gasoline, and sundry other solvents, but may as well have used water because nothing even leaves a mark. Marc lit the burner under the pot, but noticed that do nothing to soften the mess. What is in here?

Morning.

ofcmarc, that's too cold too soon. You're a trooper. Get some good coffee sludge in you.

Polaraco, I'm thinking of some aluminum U-channel or similar and cutting that to length to attach for drawer pulls. Though I'm really certain what I want. I'm considering making handles out of wrenches.

Morning all. Just a fly by.

In off the road after a 3-week work/vacation/work run.

Coffee seems the consistency of concrete but the color of tar. Left a jackhammer by the counter if you want to chip off a piece of coffee to suck on.

Think I might look at a Ramcharger as my next work vehicle. Saw an ad for one that looks interesting.

Later.

Mornin all. It is a frosty morning in he shadow of the Rockies. Not quite as cold as Alaska though. Coffee that you have to nibble on isn't such a bad thing. At least it won't spill when you are driving. Today's job jar includes mowing the lawn one last time and trimming around the fence posts and such one last time. It is amazing how a little tuft of grass left along the driveway can start a snow drift when a January blizzard comes calling. Our first year here we didn't know that and we ended up with 4ft high drifts all do,wn the driveway. Learned that lesson the hard way.

I've seen them. . . Old tools not so bad as using a brand new set of SK. But she could use Craftsman tools and it wouldn't bother me a bit.

There's plenty of garage sales out there. . . Barns. . . Just stay out of my garage

I haven't made drawer handles out of tools but I mark very popular coat and tack racks out of old horse shoes and bar stools out of old rims. Those are SOLID bar stools.

Getting ready for winter here in Denmark too, just sprayed my truck with wmo this afternoon, to keep the salt away from it, they do use ALOT of salt here, making even the smallest amount of snow pure hell to drive in.
Changed fuelfilter and oil on my dads nissan, IŽm waiting for my filters from GENOŽs, theyŽll be here soon, then IŽll get it done and be ready for winter.
Good coffee can always get better with snaps, just put a coin in the mug, then coffee till you canŽt see it, then snaps till you can see it again, and youŽll be juuuust fine.

schnapps perhaps? any flavor in particular- never tried that before with coffee.....

buttscotch schnapps in hot chocolate for the french Canadiens!! merci beau coup! love that stuff when up there....

three guys and a jeep, parts everywhere! i snuck in some paint here and there. tailgate, fenders hood, side panels and hinges done. probably three shades of pearl blue due to matching a dealer's poor paint job. clear coat some other stuff.

down to exhaust bracket/clamp fitting needed for inspection, then DMV.
son is very appreciative, good to see him do 97% of the work!
