****BREAKROOM, 05/12 to 05/18****

It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!
WOW, this breakroom sure is a busy place - not. Maybe the janitor can try a change of deodorant? Or maybe just use some deodorant for a change. Whatever it is, don't think I have seen this place so desolate in all the years I have been dropping by.
It is now my Saturday morning. Been another too busy week and I arrived 'home' very tired on Friday night. After having a bite to eat, lay down for a bit and conked out. Should not have done that because now I am awake and it is just after midnight. Got a dressing down from our director this week for working too hard and caring too much. Been instructed to not work so hard and if the work does not get completed in time, then too bad. Now got to figure out how to comply.
Looking forward to a break from here and will be home for the entire month of July. Can't wait to smell clean air and see blue skies every day once again. Am still considering quitting at the end of November, but my arm is already being twisted to stay longer. Don't think I want to stay here for another winter. Two winters here are more than enough. Really want to go home and re-start my life again. It has been on hold long enough.
Anyhow, hope the rest of you DTRonians have a good rest of the week and do not get into too much trouble.

Hey Stan, nice to see you drop by and liven up the place. You are correct, the breakroom is getting awfully quiet lately. It has been slowing down for a long time, but I have seen a real drop off in visitors since shortly after Christmas

Sad news for any Nascar fans. Dick Trickle committed suicide after calling EMS and telling them where they would find his body.

Dick Trickle would indeed smoke for yellow flag laps. When NASCAR came to Riverside for The Winston 500,and he was driving, all the SCCA turn workers would call the tower about the cigarettes. We were told "don't worry about it".Flagging NASCAR was not like sports cars.

WHat freekin day. My satellite radio came in, the salesman got me the wrong dang vehicle kit. Half hour on phone to get that taken care of. After a couple things yesterday, the radio snafu, then the autosteer kept acting up on me trying to plant today, found myself yelling "come on" and my hand pulling away from a broken display screen.
Been a while since something set me off that bad.
Catching crap yesterday for planting the way the boss wanted me to the last two years, instead of the way I normally did the last two years, really didn't help any. Nor has not having 2 days off in a row in the last 2 1/2 months. I worked my Saturdays off getting fence done and then the last Saturday before we started planting, was told that I couldn't take one til we were done planting.
Just ready for a freekin break.

Don't worry NE frmhnd, I don't have any days off either. I was actually looking forward to getting a sawmill I've been building since January out of my shop this week. Now another customer wants me to build him one, only bigger than the one I'm building now.
Happy Saturday!

Good morning all y'all. Today is going to be a fun day, I get to be a farmer for the day. We are prepping our vegetable garden for planting today. The actual planting will be Monday but today is prep day. I get to fire up my antique tractor an use it to pull the cultivator and the PTO powered rototiller. The tractor is an IH 350 Utility and it will work VERY hard today. I love using my old tractor
Have a good Saturday everyone.

Final straw this evening, taking Monday off. Had a tire go flat on the planter and called JD, they had one, I'll be there in 45 minutes. Corry's wife picks up some parts he called about and they send the tire with her. Well, once I figured out who picked it up, I sent him a text, to which I get "she was just supposed to pick up my bearings". No mention whatsoever about catching up with her, or her number to call to catch up with her, to get my tire, which I obviously need to continue planting, or I would not have lost an hour going to town for it.
It's not the lack of time off that gets to me, it's not being able to have downtime and unwind from stuff like this and some other stuff that I am not going to discuss here that's getting to me.
