You should have been here in April. That month's unpredictability would have blown your "shorts" up a little.

Morning all.

Did anybody see the live interview with North Carolina's Governor this morning on the weather channel? According to her, NC is in the middle of hurricane alley. I think the last hurricane to hit there was three years ago.

There's a example. Our governor is realistic and just saying to the people, "I orderd a manditory evacuation and I expect nothing less than full cooperation"

Your governor is about the only good thing to come out of NJ. I wish he'd run for president.

I just watched a press conference he was having. He might be a good governor but he has one small problem, everything is about him. He has a team of people, many of them were standing next to him on the stage during the conference but everything was about him. I said do this, I told so-and-so to do that, I ordered folks to leave, I made the decision to do this. It may be days before his head and his ego can get out of the building.

I think it's just the fact that HE is giving the orders and I think HE expects them to be followed. Or HE will send a hit man to find out why HIS orders were not followed! I like that kind of definitive thinking.

I don't have a problem with the decisions being made, the guy just alienates his whole team with his arrogance.

You read him wrong. He's all about the people. I've met him long before he was Govorner

To those of you on the east coast, god speed. Use your heads. We seem to be a pretty logical bunch

I think it has been so long since some one in 'power' has stood up and said it is me, I made the decision, I am responsible, I am accountable, that you have grown un accustomed to it.

Kind of a buck stops here thingy.

At least that is the way I read it. He looked to be a bit miffed at the stupid questions that have been asked over and over and over and not reported correctly too. He was probably just trying to explain to the idiot reporters in the audience, and not give them any way to twist his words.

Heck any more all we are used to is I have recommended that we comprise a panel of experts, they are going to discuss the situation and get back to me next year on the provisions and precautions we should take this weekend...
