does anyone know what is going on for sun. r we going to meet there, convoy, place, time?

 

I will probably be meeting there, but not certain. I would rather meet up on my way, as I am not certain how to get there, but it seems easy from the old memory banks and the last trip down there...

Nothing going on here that I know of until Sat. Usual car show, assuming nice weather. Girldriend will be here, so might go out to dinner, maybe bowling or something goofy like that afterwards. IDK.

See that now, coulda had them both done today... too bad, wasn't thinking. also wasn't on the internet all day today. Saturday works for me, I get out of work around 4 and may have to round up a sleeping g/f after that, but she will be local, so it is easy.

Yeah, it is the Chatterbox. it is a full restaurant inside with old school stylings, kinda nice. then during shows, he has a DJ, dirty water dog stand on the lot. good time usually, but don't plan on eating dinner in the restaurant unless you are patient/not hungry yet; typically a looooong wait @ shows

 

Gates open at 11:00. I am still rying to pull it off. Work has been killing me this week with OT.

We could leave around 10-10:30. probably take an hour to get there.

Make sure we have everyones cell # so nobody gets lost.

Depending on weather and how much money i have by the end of the week will determine if i will race the quarter.

 

so pretty much, planning on going and getting there as early as possible. I have a fairly good idea of where it is, so not real concerned about getting lost, and also have a few #'s just in case haha

Well, I will be at the Chatterbox tomorrow around 4:30 or 5, have to get the girlfriend after work before stopping in. Sunday is still a go as well, going to go check for location details for Island in a few minutes. Should be a good weekend.

edit, easy to get to Island as I thought, good to see. also, I have a few more vids loaded from the snowmobile races, in case anybody is interested.

 

Island is a piece of cake to get to. 80W to exit 19, left on 519 and take that all the way into town, than follow road (I believe route 46) up to sign for Island and make a right.

Might as well remind everyone here: September 15th is the Diesel Nationals @ Englishtown. Last year we rolled down about 4 deep, hopefully this year we can double that number. We can meet at the Exxon station again in Montville or somewhere on 287. Mike and I had talked about bringing a grill to save some $$$ on food and drinks. Post up if you are interested in going down.

 

Definitely interested in Englishtown, girlfriend has been nagging me for years to take her down there, I would be up for meeting up someplace and cruising down. I can not wait for the next 5 hours to pass. job =

I need a new job. Any comments on a township job vs. a rigging/millwright job?

 

township job, young enough at retirement to actually enjoy it, good beni's, and the big boss actually changes every couple years, via elections

 

Yeah, those were all considerations, I think the rigging job would pay more, but township job is local, lot to be said for that commute.
