hey guys finally got those billet sills for the truck, after numerous phone calls, and about 7 messages,3 of them being civil lol. anyway, how can i install these things beside using that double sided tape crap, never holds anything.maybe rivets, just looking for a couple of suggestions.weather dont look good at all in upcoming days. hope its good for you spring flingers, rain would suck.

 

Mike, my speaker box shipped out Tuesday, I will let you know when I get it. (Not that I have a truck to install speakers in)

Guy at the D'Alessio body shop told me the longest part of this ordeal will be getting the frame. He said it could be a week or it could be three weeks. Told me the last time he ordered a frame for a Jeep, it had to come from Chrysler and it took three weeks. As soon as they get the frame, it takes 3-4 days to swap everything over. Guy is a real straight shooter, no B.S. like other places that could have said, "Oh, you'll have it next week" or crap like that. Estimate will be done today, could be around $12,000. I am just thankful that it wasn't totalled.

Angelo and all others, good luck at the Spring Fling this weekend. Hope you put some serious numbers down.

Yeah sometime between 5:30 and 6:00. When I get close I usually stop and get something to eat and by time I'm done people are already there.

Well I didn't even make my old dyno number. The trans kept going right to three thousand rpm on all the high power levels. It seems the converter never locks up and I never noticed it since I got it back two weeks ago. I'm going to check the wiring this week.Best run was only 529 with the C5 and Smarty TNT was 522. I did a base line dyno with only injectors and was up 20 hp to 390 with the twins.

Mike what was the name of the place who did your trans? I won't take the truck to level 10 ever again. I now realize I'm out the money and have to do it all over again. I figure if I hit him I have lawyers fees and if I take him to court I'll have lawyers fees so I might as well just use that money to pay to have the job done right.

I had the valve springs installed so hopefully now I can get the TNT R from Bob Wagner and put this trans out of it's misery. It's the only humane thing I can do. Needless to say, but I don't think I'm gonna put a good time down at the track one of these Friday nights if it ever stops raining.

OMG is right, not the post i was hoping to see coming back from the fling. i really cant see you letting him get away with 5g's of your money. there has to be something you can do. he cant keep getting away with ripping people off. anyway at least your going to see whats really inside your tranny now, cause i know thats been bothering you for a while now.

 

Well I called and talked to Lannings and were gonna try to get together this Sat. I have to call him tonight to confirm. He will look at the trans and take pressure readings and drive to see what he thinks. I would like to try and get away with a valve body for now and next year get the full rebuild with converter and all shafts. I've just spent to much money on the truck and to drop another 6 grand on another trans again is just to much right now.

George, I still want to go through with the pump swap so whenever your ready let me know and I'll take my pump off ahead of time. I already have the Duramax CP3 and almost all the money for the kit. As to recourse against Pat, I have none. I never could get a full build sheet from him. I lost the day I picked the truck up and paid for it without the sheet. The guy who was his manager told me to stop back the next day to get one and I got the run around untill it was to late. Live and learn!
