Official Dates for 6th Annual NC Dyno and Drag Race

My sincere thanks to everyone who voted on our poll in the other thread concerning this event.

Based upon that voting we are happy to announce that the OFFICIAL DATES for this event will be Friday October 10th, 2008 and Saturday October 11th, 2008. We will have the drag race event at "Coastal Plains Dragway", 4744 Highway 258, Jacksonville, N.C. during their "Midnight Madness" Event. This is held in the evening from 8:00 P.M.-1:00 A.M. so the weather should be cool.
Then on Saturday from 9:00 A.M.-? we will have the dyno event at "Waynes Dyno and Performance" also located on Highway 258, at 3789 Highway 258, Jacksonville, N.C. Wayne Murphy is a long-time supporter of our diesel events and I want to sincerely thank him for hosting this again for us.

Mike D. and myself are in the process of securing sponsors for this event. I will also get up some directions, hotel information etc. in the next couple of weeks.

So, make your plans to attend this event.

I'll be there

John
If you need any help with the event you know all you have to do is ask

Nate
What turbo are you going to get? I have a 64/12 I'd be willing to sell at a fair price. I ran a 12.6 with that turbo as a single and a little water-meth to keep it cool.

Yes, I think they do Nate as Chris Dubie and myself cooked hamburgers there at an event. But let me check on that to be sure as we will be there at the "Midnight Madness" Event and that may be a different set of rules etc.

Just to correct one thing for anyone doing a mapquest to get here for the first time. My address is 3789 Richlands Hwy. It is the same as Hwy.258/24 but mapquest doesn't see it that way.

I told my guys that the date had been set for the Dyno Day and we can't wait!!!!!

Johnner, your truck is NOT a slow rig! 12.6@110 MPH with a 1.75 60ft. time in a 6-speed 2004 Dodge CTD CR equipped with a Dual-Disc Haisley Street/Drag Clutch is pretty darn quick IMHO!

I have our good buddy Brian B. thinking about some ideas for the dyno/drag event too. We need all the help we can get to make this event a big hit.

If the guys who live and work on base could put the word out to all the diesel guys that would be great. Advertise as much as you can around the area.
