Cleaning chrome question?

Does anybody know how to get rid of very fine pitting in the chrome?

I've use Mother's and Noxon 7. But I'm thinking about a small polishing wheel to get the little not really "pits" but 'raised' imperfections out of the chrome.

The one with the center cap hasn't been cleaned yet.

Old trick to cleaning chrome bumpers is to ball up aluminum foil and spray it w/WD-40. It cleans chrome bumpers really good, but don't know if it would do anything if Mother's chrome polish didn't. You could always test it on the back of one of the wheel's to see.

Keegan:

When Johnner was racing his four wheelers one thing that I found which worked great to clean chrome was REAL FINE steel wool, up around #1000.
Before using it though, try a hidden spot to make sure it is not too rough for the finish.

I got gord's polish....But haven't tryed it yet...It says you could use it on chrome with the fine steel wool but said you need to know what your doing......Thats exactly what it said in the instructions, nothing else....Kind of made me laugh...

ive used eagle one neverdull (silver short can) on a couple sets of nasty chrome wheels and it works pretty good. it wont take all of it off but it has never scratched anything ive used it on. then I go back over it later with a polish
