Almost that time!

So my truck has 120,000 miles on it and from what i hear from all the ford guys, my trucks tranny is on borrowed time. Right now im at 298 hp and if i start going up on that number the tranny is sure to go. So my question is what transmission does everyone recommend? If i were to just replace my torque converter would give me some extra time?Im looking at suncoast, ATS, and BD diesel. I would love to have an ATS but im wondering what everyone else thinks. Transmissions are not my specialty by any means. Yes it is a Ford!

There are a lot of guys in your area with the ATS and DTT, many of both are very happy. I prefer the Dave G trannies. Best warranty in the business, hands down!!

I got my tranny done at TRE diesel in Virginia beach. You should talk to Tim Barber and he can hook you up. He builds DTT trans and I'm very happy with mine. He can also do the rebuild and install in about 10 hrs.

Call him and you'll probably have to leave him a message and he will call you back. There is normally a 3 week wait after you confirm everything for him to get all the parts then You'll go up one weekend and get it done.
His website is: http://www.trediesel.com/

I would be surprised if Tim works on Ford transmissions.

Bobby Brinkley here in Kinston can do it for you.

He builds EVERY kind of transmission there is!!

Brinkley's Transmission Shop....252-522-1121

He just did the trans in my Father-in-laws Excursion(diesel) and my Powerglide.

Tell him David Anderson sent ya

Not so much.....you will find that there are quite a few Fords on here...and with guys like Dash...They are welcome!! Heck, Should not have issues finding parts for it. Look at fordtruckworld.com and see what the other diesel guys are running.....then report back and we'll see whats up!
