Virginia Chapter #7 DTR meeting
Re:Virginia Chapter #7 DTR meeting
For some reason, the Dodge dealer is a little hesitant to have us meet there. I can't figure these people out when there is a chance we could toss them some business, they still don't want to participate. Oh well, you know what I say to them and if you don't, ask me the next time you see me.

Anyway, the backup location to meet is in the Pottery parking lot just about a mile east of the dealership lot. We can meet in the lot right on Rt 60 till everyone gets there and then go to eat. I will get over there early to see what is open for lunch time feasts and have a list ready.

Hope to see you there.

Joel
Re:Virginia Chapter #7 DTR meeting
So what do you think would happen if we all just "Happened" to show up at the dealer for a little "Tire Kicking" & "Test Driving" session.
Re:Virginia Chapter #7 DTR meeting
I'm tired of asking and am not going to waste my time any more. I have asked three dealers now and they looked at me like I was stupid. While that may be the case, I am still offering them a chance to possibly make a sale on some parts or maybe one will have the truck the right person is looking for. I could tell you what I think but it would just look like: Take your (censored) (censored) and (censored) it (censored) (censored) (censored) and then (censored) it (censored) (censored) shine.

NOTE: I spelled "censored" every time so Jack's program would not go into maximum smoke minimum efficiency mode. Kinda like when Ozzy gets on the TV.

Shovelhead:

That is a VERY GOOD IDEA!!! ;D

Joel, what do you think???? Fifteen to twenty loud,
smoky Dodge Cummins Turbo Diesels right on the
"Williamsburg Dodge" lot!! They would love that!

Heh, I will even do a smoky burnout!

Re:Virginia Chapter #7 DTR meeting
Well, they say they have a "top notch" diesel mechanic and I thought I would offer them a chance to make a buck or two selling performance parts to people that still trust the dealer.

OH WELL, their loss.
Re:Virginia Chapter #7 DTR meeting
Joel howzabout we stop in front of the dealer, take a picture of our trucks, dealer name in the background of course
, and send a email with the pic to Dodge thanking them for their support of a BOMB friendly shop.

Re:Virginia Chapter #7 DTR meeting
Seems as though the Dodge dealer has had a change of heart today or maybe they finally recognized the opportunity they might miss.
Anyhow, they just called me and said it would be fine for all of us to meet there Saturday morning. I told them we would probably start showing up around 11:00 or so. We can meet there and BS a while and by then, I will have a list of eating establishments for us to choose from. He said they will more than likely have one side of the lot cleared out for us to park and get a good photo op.
So come on down to Williamsburg Dodge this Saturday and lets have a good time.
For those of you coming up or down I 64, take the 231A exit on to Rt 607. Take 607 towards Rt 60 to the light. Make a left at the light and the dealer is about a mile on the right side on Rt 60.
If you need further direction, please let me know.

NOTE to JohnP: This is a brand new parking lot.

Lets see, oh yeah, lift the back of the R model up on blocks. Just don't flip it over. I'm keeping him away from my Neon since he said he flips Neons for play.
