Run your LP a few cranks and it should force fuel through the injectors and head. BUT if you had a leak at the injecor return, this could introduce air in the system.

For a rad flush...you can pull the T-stat...but i would leave it and get the truck warm.....which it needs to be anyway for the flush. If you don’t have any flush laying around.....go borrow mom's dish washer detergent. THIS CRAP WORKS GREAT! It doesn’t foam and will degrease anything. Think of how well it work being just sprayed onto dishes. Please note I did not say DAWN dish soap! YOU WILL HAVE AN ABSOLUTE MESS if you use this stuff! It has to be DISH WASHER DETERGENT!!! Liquid would be best and pre-mix in a jug by shaking.

Good that was where the leak was... "Injector Return" Fixed now... It's running fine now, the test will be after I let it sit for a while and go and crank it again....

May try ur dishwashing detergent idea.... So have truck warm so the thermo opens up good... and run the truck for a while with the detergent in there and then pull the drain and put a hose in the top of the radiator til mostly diluted?? Then fully drain and refill??

That it or better way to do it?? Thanks

WELL....the way i would do it is drain the coolant and such out now. All of it as much as you can. Refill with water and Detergent mixture. Let it run until the T-Stat opens......then i would say about 10-15 mins should do ya while hot....then open the drain and ballance the flow out of the garden hose to match what is draining and stick it in fill for the Radiator. (Open the cap carefully!) Flush until clear come out...... Then empty and then do your 50%/50% mix or whatever you prefer.....

Does the Cummins have a block drain? I dont recall seeing one. I know others that do......might drain the block if you can....if not....i woudn't worry about it.

Welcome to mine, rowlands, and big smoky's problem. A random hard start issue. I just got done replacing all of my fuel line which by the way Dan, tell your buddy thanks but if he ever sends me a line that's cut in two and uses tape to hold it I'll beat him with it. Talk about PO'd when I go to prime the system and fuel comes gushing out from under the tape and I have to go and redo everything. Need to go and get a "t" so I can put my pressure gauge back on. I did away with the stock canister and the line that had my T in it for my gauge.

Update on the injectors, you can daily drive these things with little smoke and a tight auto if you think about what your doing. I don't see it being an issue with a stick nor a truck with twins. They definately spool the turbo hard and fast. So fast that it blows past the wastegate setting of 48 and taps 52 for a sec before settling back down. It feels stronger but I'm not sure. I'm a afraid that I might be over fueling it. I might be going to the track friday so I'm gonna do some tuning there and see what works.

I'd say these injectors are making some power. Driving easy because of the rain, TST off smarty on 3, every stop light I came to the truck would spin into 2nd gear. I thought I had a massive fuel leak or oil leak the way the tires were spinning. I'm impressed.

OK fellers......since time is near, I guess we had better get disorganized.

Rowland, Mike and Tyler will be up Friday. Anyone else?

Since we will be gone to Lewisville all day Saturday, you will be on your own for food for the weekend. I'm not really tired of making chili, etc, I'm just tired of cleaning up the mess. I'll sure be glad when Ryan's GF builds me a shop, complete with a bathroom and a DISHWASHER.

I got my Colman Stove fixed...so I'll bring coffee for Sat & Sunday morning! I hesitate to bring it up, Charlie...but need more fire wood?
How about a Chilli Dinner Saturday nite, IF we all chip in to cover the cost, and draw straws for a KP squad? Everyone willing?

Anyone got any wrenching projects to do? I'm installing a set of Mike's 'Traction Bars' Friday afternoon! Tyler should be needing a new EGT gauge by then...to replace the one he's frying with his new injectors.

Good on the coffee. I think we're OK on the firewood for now.

I may try to install and new 50 HP hitch ball that I found on-line.

Cautious mainly... Although we cleaned everything very well, I imagine there was still some stuff that made it past the paper towels everywhere.... Then I figured any break in material from the head...

I already have all the filters (got a case of fleetguard with the truck), so its really just cheap insurance...

That was my guess....just curious.
And I agree totally. I'm a firm believer in frequent oil changes as preventative Mx, and cheap insurance!......... especially if playing hard.
Little easier for me cause I get it at cost...but would do it anyway!

Charlie - I've got some horsepower decals you can have for the dyno, and if you make chili - I'll even give you a hit off the nitrous bottle for good luck!

Brian, I'm bringing a surprise for you to Sedalia, so you might have something to wrench on after all...

Rowland, I'm excited to watch your rear end closely as you lift from WOT on the dyno to see how many thousandths of an inch of compliance are left in the rear half of the plates in the spring pack.
