Yup! Only took five model yrs to do it. Was fun hearing so many CTD's that sound like nice family SUV's!

Jokes aside....BIG thanks to Robert for stepping in to provide us a place to meet! Spent 2 nights in air conditioned rooms and slept in a bed both times! Didn't feel like a normal DTR weekend at all! Actually got home Sunday without feeling totally wasted.

Dyno #'s aside.... We had Drag Racing Friday night.... Dyno Day on Saturday.... Get Together Sat Night/Sunday ...... had a blast!

Thanks again to Robert for us of his HQ and lights, and Brian, Amy, Rowland, Mike, and the new Scott for the help getting my FASS on. I'm still amazed that even after following Mike and the Scotts during the acceleration tests going to Robert's, and after putting in a new fuel pump, and then testing some smoke on the way home, I still got 18.5mpg hand figured. (29.3 on the overhead)
And I have learned one thing, Schoolbus needs to go to a doctor, his snoring sounds like he's trying to die.

AND the highest numbers in our group STILL belongs to a second gen!! Come on guys its getting close to 2008, our trucks are darn near antiques and still out pulling the newer more sophisticated trucks... (and look and sound much better doing it!! )

We ended up installing the pump backwards using a toolbox on the bed as a mount... filler neck just made it too tight to install to the bed mounts per instructions. we needed a 14' length of hose to make it from the pump to the CP... Never been that up close and personal with the FASS.. Very impressed with the robustness and aluminum brackets etc... I want one!!! Darn campaign pumps just wont give up though!! Once we figured out where to mount the dang thing it was really a very easy install!!

Sounds like a good time was had by all. We were going to stop by on Saturday evening when we came through McKinney on the way back from Durant...we could have had two SO's at one meet and set another record. But decided to just head on because we were tired and needed to get home to mow the lawn, since we didn't get anything else done yesterday aside from the CHL class.

But on the bright side, we both passed the class, now just have to wait for the state to work through the license paperwork. She did well on her shooting test (especially since last Wednesday was the first time she shot a semi-auto). I guess the 200 rounds at the range Wednesday and the 150 more on Saturday helped out. There were some people taking that test that were a little frightening. One lady put more than a few rounds into the target carrier and a couple into the ceiling of the range. I don't think the range officer at BPS was very impressed with her performance.

So when's the next meet? One of these months, I know it's going to end up on a weekend when I'm free.

You mean the FED's...right?
My renewal took 6 weeks, and that was without another FBI check (I think)! With all the Passport backup these days...you may be a few months before you see your license. Just a guess!

I know the increase in CHL applications has taxed the system for past yr or so.
Welcome the the Texas Stereotype! A gun in every pickup!

Three stage Nitrous! Stage one just to get big single turbo spinning on the street. (That's what Ray told me). Stage 3 must be humongous.
