With the truck in 2LO I can put it in gear an have my foot to the floor and the truck will barely creep forward... Peter is being really cool about it and is sending me another set of hydros to test out... I got an older set from SBC's master distributer in Ft.Worth with the two halves disconnected. All the new ones ship connected.... So hopefully I just got a weak set and I'll be good....
That sucks...and will ware the thing out if it keeps doing that!!!

At 168,000 miles....i think my stocker (Or i have no other reason to think its not the OEM) has done its job....

Dont care about the clutch... well compared to the ware on my pretty brass syncros anyway Have a very unique driving style right now to hel psave teh syncros... Lots of RPM matching and starting in the gear I want so I dont have to wind up a syncro to get in.. Come to a stop light and throw her in 2nd before I come to a complete stop and leave it or the duration of the light... Only clutch and pilot bearing wear then, no syncro.. Easier t oreplace than the trans!! ... Will have a new set in the morning...

PS my stocker lasted about 100k the stage 3s and van aaken did it in... slippy in 5th and 6th.. then 4th..

Just bring a sleeping bag and your pillow... all kinds of floor space if the empty beds disappear!

IIRC, there were 3 beds, one couch, 2 chairs, and a travel trailer. (That does get parked at the house right?)
I'll be at the dyno probably around 1pm, any idea how long the dyno will go? (And how long it would take to put in a FASS)(Or I guess I could just be there and put it on when we get to Robert's)

Probably best to wait till McKinney. Takes Dan (use to anyway) 2 hrs.
HPFP or full FASS? Got good print out of directions? Heat gun (I've got a butane tourch) and 90* drill come in very handy.... if available!

Everything but the big line kit. I guess in that case I could change my oil too (nice to have a good piece of ground that you don't have to worry about stickers)

Shouldn't be a problem. We did have a 1.5'' of more rain yesterday here in McKinney. But I think the back field should be dried out enough to park on it if need be. (please no donuts or mud playing in the field....it is not my field)

There is probably room to park 4 or 5 trucks in front of my house in the circular street. And as many as needed in the field. I don't really know how many are actually coming back to my house of the dyno day though.

I can't park my RV at my house. McKinney has some pretty strict zoning/code regulations and they don't allow RV parking at your house. (well they do, but it has to be like less than 24' and only in the back yard etc.)

You can't even park a boat in the driveway. No trailers in the driveway of any kind.

These things usually start around 9 am.... but no starting time was mentioned on ODRA?
That's when I'm planning on getting there, anyway. Beat the heat...if possible!

The ODRA email mentioned 9:45 start time - I'm sure it'll drag on most of the day.

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 02:07 AM.
