Great! Always nice to meet 'new blood'.
With your Comp and Jammer 5's.... you have to be over 400. Even on an HO.

On the truck when I bought it...

I thought I had an ideal until you put the center cap statement out there. What about the wire clips that are on the brake calipers? Maybe one is bent and catching on the rotor?

Sounds simple right? BUT, these center caps are bolted to the wheels with 2 7/16" allen head bolts and fairly tight at that... I could not move them ANY.. Could the large center caps be acting as a bell for a quieter clicking noise and removing the caps just quiets the noise down??

I dunno I just cant see how the caps could be causing this issue... They are like "one" with the wheel? Unless the wheel is flexing??? (BAD) causing the cap to move around???? I dunno... feel so retarded that this is my issue, but cant fix... Going to remove all covers tomorrow and drive around for a while to make sure clicking doesn't return...

The wheels will have some flex to them (No matter how small it is)...you want that....because if they didn’t, they would eventually brake or crack....hence why you have rubber bushing on your exhaust hangers.....

You caps fit very tight on the wheel and are held on by one screw right? What one can do is lightly smear grease on the inner lip of the cap and see if this fixes the issue....OR look for any shinny spots and lightly buff down with some sand paper......maybe touch up the wheel...just be careful...but i don’t have to tell you that......

caps held on by 2 allen bolts 180 degrees from each other... may try that.. vey weird thay are just deciding to make noise after all these years??.. so are we pretty confident that its not coming from elsewhere in the bearing wheel axle whatever and just being magnified by the center cap?

I would guess not.. bearings and u joints are new not much to make noise? ?

great advice! mainly I just shut the window, if the window is down and I go by a brick wall sounds like wheel bearing death.. loud clicking off them walls!

plan is still to be at the dyno sat morning far as I know!

Cap moving over wheel as wheel goes round is not hard for me to accept, particularly since it disappears when you remove caps
Seems to me this sort of thing could start up at any mileage. Wheels just flex a bit more than when new! Uh-oh, something else to go **** over.
(Just jelous and wishing I had the interest/energy to keep my truck as nice as yours)

bnold,
I had the same issue with the billet Centerlines on my Chevy truck. What helps is polish and wax the mating surfaces between the wheel and cap.
And turn up the radio between the next tire rotation.

wish I could make the dyno day guys but it looks like work is going to ruin the weekand once again. My whole unit is on leave except for me so now they have to fill slots for the weekand details. Keeping my fingers crossed to have some time off this weekand. Suppose to go look at a Mega Cab Cummins for sale , so well see how that works out. Who knows what might happen there.
